Artfully Sent Gold Embossed card

Hello, friends!

Artfully Sent Gold Embossed card

Today's post was almost just pics. I went to the doctor today and because my doctor had a ton of hospital admissions he ended up being 3 hours behind! We were there for over four hours. After, I had such a headache that I came home and went to sleep. Well, I ended up sleeping for a long time. When I woke up, I panicked because I knew that I only had put the pics in this post and not any verbiage. Crisis totally averted!

This card is made using the Artfully Sent cartridge and a lot of fancy heat embossing. I say fancy because of how it elevates the project not because it was hard to do. If you have not done any heat embossing before, you should give it a try!

I masked the center first. Then, I stamped the XO's (they are from this month's stamp of the month). After that, they were heat embossed. The circle (from a stamp set called Doodled Designs) was then stamped and heat embossed. I finished the stamping with the sentiment (stamp set called XOXO).

If you have a Cricut Explore, here is the file for this card: Artfully Sent Gold Embossed card

If you do not have a Cricut Explore, I cut out the scalloped and stitched rectangle at 5 1/4".

Close To My Heart Artfully Sent Heart Patterned Valentine card.

Hello, friends!

Close To My Heart Artfully Sent Valentine card.
Today I have a simple, but elegant Valentine card that I made using the Close To My Heart Artfully Sent cartridge.

To make this card, I used the 'slice' function in Design Space. However, if you do not have an Explore, you can still make this card, but it will not be matted with pink paper like mine.

Just cut the card out as is and then back the hearts with a rectangular piece of red paper. I would then add a piece of white on top of that, so the recipient does not see the red paper on the inside of the card.

The sentiment is heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I really love the look of the gold with the pink and the red. The font used for this sentiment is perfection! I need to figure out what it is.

If you have an Explore, here is the file: Close To My Heart Artfully Sent Heart Patterned Valentine card

If you do not have an Explore, simple cut the card base out at 5 1/2".

Simple, but elegant Sympathy card

Hello, friends!
Simple, but elegant Sympathy card
Today, I have a card that I made for the Bitten By the Bug challenge. This week's challenge called for a Sympathy card. I typically do not make these in advance as I don't want to tempt fate and have to use it. Universe, pay no attention to this card! Keep all of my friends and their families safe!

Ok, let's talk about this card. I made it using Artfully Sent and Art Philosophy cartridges. If you use the file I provided, you will not have to figure out the pieces that go behind wreath. If you do not have an Explore, I would cut a piece of green paper to fit and use circles for the flowers. Stick the circles on the backside and then add the green piece. I would also add a white piece to cover that, so the recipient does not see the green paper.

If you have an Explore, here is the file: Sympathy card file

If you do not have an Explore, here are the sizes:
wreath card (Artfully Sent) - 5.5"
Oval (Art Philosophy) - 1.5"
