Rose headband made using the Giant flower cartridge.

Hello, friends!

Today I have a great rose headband that I made using the Giant Flower cartridge. This would be great for a little girl to wear on Halloween, as a favor at a garden themed birthday party, or just around the house for dress up.
I used coredinations cardstock.
The butterfly is made using the Art Nouveau cartridge.
Here is what it looks like on. My sweet little boy was patient for about 5 seconds.
As you can see, the 5 seconds are over. I so need a daughter. These pictures will definitely end up in the scrapbook ;-)
Thanks for stopping by this week! See you next week!

Wild Rose frame made using Art Nouveau and Fancy Frames cartridges.

Hello, friends!

I have something a little out of the box today. I made a few frames using the Fancy Frames cartridge and the Art Nouveau cartridge. Now I know what you are thinking, "Melanie, what would I do with this frame because it is made out of paper?". Yes, it is made out of paper, but it is attached to a cheap frame I bought from a discount store. Therefore, it has good stability. You can also use modge podge to give it some heft. As for what you would do with it, I think this would be great for a wedding/baby  shower with a picture of the guest of honor in the center. If you go the modge podge route it can go on a wall or a table top and last for sometime!

I used Close to My Heart and Coredinations cardstock.
I cut the frame out at 7 3/4"using the Fancy Frames cartridge and the roses out at 6" using the Art Nouveau cartridge.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! See you back here tomorrow!!

Happy Spring Iris card made using the Garden Soup cartridge.

Hello, friends!

Anyone who knows me knows that I love spring flowers that bloom from bulbs. I especially adore tulips, daffodils, and irises. I'm really not sue why, but I do know it has been this way since I was a very young  girl picking these flowers out of our neighbor's yards. Much to my mother's horror, I was that kid. I did not understand that the flowers belonged to the people who had planted them and they preferred them to stay in their flower beds. Instead, I felt them calling to me because only I truly understood their beauty. Well, needless to say many neighbors knocked on our door letting my mom know that I should not help myself to their flowers. I'm sure she was mortified, but she never shouted. She would just gently explain that flowers can be beautiful longer if they are not picked and if they stay in the garden everyone can enjoy them. She knew this was not going to work with me, so she gave me my very own flowering plant to tend to in a small pot. It was wonderful until I over-watered it, so the flower would bloom already. However, that is another story entirely! On a side note, if you you lived in Texas in the 80's and a small brown haired girl was always picking your tulips I can explain... ;-)

Today's card is made using the NEW and wonderful Garden Soup cartridge. You guys already know how I feel about this cartridge, so there is no need to blather on. If you were that little girl too, you so need this cartridge. Enough said!

I cut the Iris out at 4 1/2".
I used Coredinations cardstock.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I will see you back here tomorrow with another project!

You're Invited flower card made using the Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More 2 cartridge

Hello, everyone!

Happy Friday! I hope you have all had a great week and maybe have something fun planned for the weekend. Since the house is finally on the market I just might relax. Well, after I paint the front door I will. Seriously, what was I thinking in selling this house? Way more work than I ever expected. Hopefully it will all pay off though.

Today's post is an invitation made using the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2  and the Giant Flowers cartridges. This cartridge is jam packed with great images, including fabulous cards shapes and word art.

I used CTMH cardstock.
I cut the card fir to page on a 12" x 12". I cut the at about 3" (I forgot to write down the size on this).
I cut the word art out at 1 1/2" or so (again me being a dummy did not write this down).
I designed this on my computer and printed it out, then stamped it.

If you are interested in the February stamp of the month, make sure you order it soon because there is only five days left.

 See you next week!

flower gift bag made using the Divine Wedding.

Hello, friends!

Today I have an easy gift bag project made using Creative Memories Divine Wedding and the Lucy Close To My Heart paper. This was super simple to put together, so this is great if you forgot to get a gift bag at Target. It would work for wedding, baby shower, or feminine birthday gifts.
