Hello, my sweets!

Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes! It really made my whole weekend!! I think I have some of the sweetest blog followers online! You guys always raise me up and make me feel good. I love you all!

Today I have a really colorful card made using the NEW Florals Embellished cartridge. I designed this one laying in bed the other night. The butterflies on this cartridge reminded me of some Basic Grey paper I had called Urban Prairie, so it practically designed itself.

I used Basic Grey paper and a My Creative Time stamp set.

I cut the butterfly out at 2".

I hope you all have a warm and cozy day wherever you may be! I am going to start a fire soon because it is VERY cold here today!

Showers of blessing card made using the Cricut Lite Celebrate Flourishe cartridge

Hello, friends!! I hope you are all having great weeks! Anyone have a super fun weekend planned. Sadly, I do not. As a matter of fact lately I think I like the weeks days better than the weekends. How sad is that!

Anyway, today I have a card I made using another one of the Cricut Lite cartridges called Celebrate with Flourish. This cartridge is your one stop holiday stop. It is one of my favorites of the new releases.




I cut the sweet little umbrella(or brolly like my British husband calls it) at 3". I used the Basic Grey Kioshi line.



The stamp is from papertrey ink....how perfect is that sentiment!

Hello Thursday day 5- card made using Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge

Hello, friends!!

I hope you all had wonderful weekends! I know I did. I swam in my mom's pool on Saturday and mainly relaxed on Sunday! It was wonderful!!

Now here we are on day 5 of the Hello Thursday project release and I am having tons of fun showing you what I have made using these fantastic cartridges. Also, I have more giveaways planned and today I am giving away the Nursery Rhymes cartridge! This is one of my favorites and all you have to do to win this cartridge is leave a comment on this post and make sure you are signed up to get email or follow this blog.

I have read recently on the Cricut Message Board that some people are not happy about the 'signing up as a follower' portion of the giveaway. On to the card!

It was made using the new and fantastic Mini Monsters cartridge. I cut the little monster out at 2 1/2". The text was cut using the new Wall Decor and More which has a great random font. Which seems to be a culmination of several fonts.



I used Basic Grey paper an Core'dinations cardstock on the card. I also did a little bit of pen work with my white Signo Uniball pen.

Elegant Cake butterfly birthday card

Hello, friends!

I hope you are all having a great weekend so far. I have been busy, but very productive! My house is clean and my projects for Everyday Cricut are complete. I just need to edit the video...which I will be doing this morning. Now I just wish I had a relaxing day ahead of me, but sadly I have a birthday party for my nieces(they are not even twins, just born on the same day 3 years apart). You know the kind of party that starts early afternoon and doesn't end till it is bath time....*sigh* Good thing I love birthday cake!

Here is one of the cards that I made for the party. This one is Lexy's. She is turning three and loves butterflies!

The sentiment is cut using Elegant Cakes cartridge at 1 1/2". I love this font! I wish they would do an entire cartridge with it!

the butterfly is a sticker that came with the Basic Grey 'Urban Prairie' paper pack.

Updated to add: the flower on the inside of the card is also a sticker from the paper pack.

Simple birthday card made with Once Upon a Princess

oops again I forgot to add the write up.....darn it! The thing is I add the photos and come back later to add the text. Sometimes I forget to add the text.

This card is made with the NEW Basic Grey line called Capella. I really love it! Anyway, the stamp is SU!. The ribbon is papertrey Ink. The cute little cut out shape is from Once Upon a Princess.

Thanks a bunch card using the new Preserves Cricut cartridge

Hello, everyone!

Today I have a card that I made using the new Preserves cartridge from Cricut. This cartridge is seriously cute, but can be made elegant too. This idea was born last Sunday when I was trying to take a nap because I was poorly. All I kept thinking about was a grape card with the sentiment of thanks a bunch. I went through the layout of the card in my head. I sorted out the papers I would use. Then I tried to remember if I owned a sentiment that said 'thanks a bunch'. I had done so much of the planning I could not sleep because I wanted to get out of bed and make this card......so I did.



The paper is Basic Grey's Wisteria(one of my favorite lines of theirs) and the sentiment is from Verve. The 'top note' shape around the sentiment is a SU! stamp that I cut out.

Forever Young 18th birthday card for the picky teen in your life

Hello, everyone! Happy New year!! I hope you all have had a wonderful holiday. I know I have!

Since we are starting a new year, today is the day we start our resolutions to improve certain things in our lives. One of my resolutions this year is to post more on this blog. I have been so busy with Christmas with the Cricut I have really neglected this blog. I am telling you that starting today I am going to make a huge effort to post more cards and layouts on this blog. As a matter of fact, I have a posts queued for every other day this month until the 25th. I plan on making more to finish the month off as well. I have decided not to give myself a mandate, because just like any other resolution as soon as I let myself down I will stop trying. Instead I am just going to make more of an effort and not be so hard on myself when I fail. I am still in college after all and that Christmas with the Cricut blog is not going away anytime soon. I know I will sometimes stumble, but plan on standing up and dusting myself off and moving forward.

So, on to today's card....

I made it using the Designer's Calendar cartridge for the '18' and Forever Young for the silhouetted woman. The paper that I used was the Basic Grey 'Wisteria', which I just adore. The stamped sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Just a few oldies, but goodies...

Hello everyone, I thought that I would post some of my favorite cards I made over at Christmas with the Cricut.




This first card was made using the Pink Journey and Joys of the Season cartridge. Can you believe that the paper I used is from that same pack of Basic Grey we have used all week. It is so versatile!!! I also used core'dinations cardstock as well.

I used my copics and air compressor to airbrush the white cardstock a pale blue. I love how it turned out!



The ovals were cut at 2 1/2" and 2 3/4 using the Pink Journey cartridge The tree was cut using the Joys Of the Season cartridge at 3".



The stamp sentiment is from Close to My Heart and it is called 'Just for the Holidays". The felt corners are from Close to My heart.

Here is the sketch:

The second card was made with the same pack of paper pack and also core'dinations cardstock.



The "snowflake" like cut was cut at 3" and layered with the main cut, shift cut, and shadow cut.


I also used my cuttlebug 'snow dots' folder on the core'dinations paper and sanded it down. I also distressed all the edges of the paper with my Close to My Heart edge distressing tool.



The sentiment used was called "Holiday Trinckets" and is from Close to My Heart.

Well hello there, Tuesday!

Guess what...not only am I actually posting this week on this blog, but I am posting multiple times!!! Can you believe it?

Here is another card I made with the Serenade cartridge(the bird cage) that we are highlighting and giving away this week over at Christmas with the Cricut this week. The paper is Basic Grey 'Porcelain' and the bird stamp is from CTMH and colored with my Copics.

This card took some wrangling to get it to come together. I think I like it though. I have been wanting to pair that bird cage paper and one of the bird cages from Serenade for a while.

Hello, everyone!!

I had a chance to make a few things over the weekend that I will be sharing on here this week.

The first thing is a Sympathy card I made for my Sister In Law's friend. I guess I do cards on demand now ;-)

I used the Serenade Cricut cartridge and some Basic Grey Wisteria paper. I really love this line! We are featuring the Serenade cartridge all week over at Christmas with the Cricut and then giving it away on Sunday. Head over there if you get a chance because you are going to want to add this cartridge to your library!

Here is a card I made this week using my new Basic Grey paper line "Nook and Pantry'. I really really love this line!!! Then again there is not a Basic Grey line yet that I did not like.

Anyway, the pear cut is from my cricut 'From My Kitchen' cartridge which has some super cute cuts on it! The sentiment is CTMH and the ribbon is SU!

Card Sketch Wednesday #19

Hello, Everyone!!

I hope you are all having a great week! It is pretty crazy around here! My little one started kindergarten this week. Also, I started back to college this week after a 15 year hiatus. I am only taking 3 classes, but it is going to take some getting used to. I am looking forward to all the art classes though!

Here is the Wednesday challenge for C to Shining C.



and here is my take on the card.



the rose is made out of core'dinations paper that is torn and crumpled. This could not be any easier!



All I did was draw a circle with a pencil on the opposite side of the paper and tore the paper along the lines. Then crumpled them up in my hands.



The paper I used was Basic Grey Wisteria and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Nestibility Peony dies!!!

Hello, everyone!!!! Happy Tuesday!

I have been working so hard on Christmas with the Cricut I have been neglected my blog. Sorry about that. It will get better. I just wanted to be about 3-4 weeks ahead on my projects for over there. I am almost there now. Which reminds me tomorrow is my first post over there. Wednesday is tags and packaging so make sure you check over there tomorrow and see what I have come up with.

Ok now down to what I have actually made for this little blog......I have a card that I have made over the weekend and thought I should photograph it and get it posted!! I have and here the little darlin' is.....

I made the flower with my nestibility Peony dies. I sprayed them with glimmer mists(my new favorite tool), crumpled them up in my hands, and stacked them. The paper I used is the Basic Grey Wisteria.

I just love making baby cards!

A cousin of mine had a baby on Friday! Yes on my birthday! Isn't that the coolest?! Anyway, they had a sweet little girl they named Mollie Brooke. I can't wait to see her next time I visit my home town.

I made this card for my sweet baby Sis, who lives in San Francisco. I miss her very much and she just left a few days ago :(
