Have a great day card made using new Cricut Lite Feeling Groovy cartridge

Hello. friends!!

I am back today with another card I made using one of the new Cricut Lite cartridges. This smiley face can be found on the Feeling Groovy cartridge. Not only does it have some fun shapes, but a really cool font can also be found.



I cut the face at 4". I used the double dot paper again from Bo Bunny.



As a sentiment I chose a cool stamp from Papertrey Ink. It almost could not be a more perfect sentiment!

Sweet Baby Boy card made with the new Nursery Rhymes cricut cartridge

Hello, friends!!!

Today I have a card for you that I made with the Nursery Rhymes cartridge. Can you tell that I love this cartridge?

I scored lines on the base to give a little bit of interest. I also added some fabric as trim. The word art from Nursery Rhymes is cut with DCWV glitter paper.

Arigato Mr. Roboto card made with Robotz cricut cartridge

Hi ya!

Domo arigato Mr Roboto......sorry I totally could not resist! When I saw this card that song just played and played in my head!

This cartridge is great! Robotz is an answer to those of us who have been crying for a cartridge for our sons. My little one went crazy when he saw this cartridge. This is actually a great thank you card for the males in your life. I would imagine that I will give this card to one of my brothers(now if only they would do something worthy of a thank you card ;-))

Check out how small the font from the cartridge is cut. Not one ounce of trouble either! Isn't that awesome!

Sprinkles!

Hello, everyone!

Today I have a really quick card that I made using the Sweet Treats cartridge and SEI paper. The stamp set is from Taylored Expressions and called Sprinkled with Love. I just love her stamps!!!

Don't you just love cupcakes! There are so many really cute cupcakes on this cartridge! Joy and I found the BEST cupcake store in Frisco called Dimples. If you leave in the DFW area you should totally check out this cupcake shop!!

Pagoda pizzaz!

Hello, everyone!

on to the card....I made this with my very neglected Pagoda cartridge. I love Asian inspired designs, but have not had a chance to really explore what this cartridge has to offer...until now.

I cut the flowers at various sizes and put a glittered brad in the middle to add a little sparkle.

The paper is from the SEI Jocelyn line which is soooo beautiful!! The stamp is from Verve.

Don Juan does is for me again ;-)

I hope you are having a good weekend. I know I am! I do not have the mountain of work like I had last weekend. It makes for a very nice change!

Today's card is a card I made for my dear friend Joy. It is made using my trusty Don Juan cartridge which is one of my all time favorites. This cartridge has it all. It has a fantastic font and basic shapes that I just love!

Fabulous as a peacock using the new Cricut Give A Hoot

Hello, everyone! I just love the new Give A Hoot cricut cartridge so much that I had to make another card today with it. It is my favorite of this month's releases .

This peacock was cut at 4 1/4".

The paper I used is a new My Mind's Eye stack I bought at Michael's. the stamp is from verve.

Hello Thursday February blog hop!

Hello, everyone! Today is Provo Craft's Hello Thursday!! Isn't it exciting! It just seems to keep getting better and better. This release has some seriously cute cartridges!

Ok, so just like last time this is a mini blog hop between me and Joy(Obsessed with Scrapbooking). We are both giving away several prizes today. Now what are the prizes you ask.....well, on this blog I am giving away an Easter Mini cartridge, and Mother's Day mini cartridge, and a Provo Craft chef's hat from CHA. Joy is giving away a you pick one cartridge, a $1oo gift certificate to Peachy Cheap, and a deep cutting blade.

On to the new cartridges:

This layout is made using the new Straight From The Nest cartridge. The word art on this cartridge is really fantastic and perfect for blog titles. I think it is a must have for those of you who scrapbook out there.

This bird was so cute and I thought would be perfect perched some where way up high. I cut him out at 2".

The journaling tag was cut at 3" and stamped with a Close To My Heart stamp called 'comments' in a pale grey. Then I cut another one just a 1/4" larger for a shadow. It worked perfectly!

Another great feature of this cartridge is the photo corners. It has lots to choose from and I just love all of them! I went with the scalloped ones for this layout though. I cut the, at 1 1/2".

I also took advantage of the border feature and cut out this large scalloped border at 2". I also cut the title at 4 1/4. The paper is Songbird from DCWV and the cardstock is Core'dinations.

This card is made with the new Give A Hoot cartridge:

This cartridge is probably my favorite in this release. It has some really cute woodland animals, flowers, and a couple of cute earth cuts. This cartridge is very modern. We are going to feature it all next week over at Holidays with the Cricut! I think you guys are going to go crazy for this one!

This card was made using the nest cut from cartridge. It was cut out at 2 1/2"

the branch is cut using the border feature at 1 1/4". I just love that several of the new cartridges have border features!! Can you imagine this border cut to fit the length of your scrapbook page with a cute owl perched on it? How cute would that be!!

I speckled the eggs with a little bit of brown ink. The paper is Melissa Francis and Anna Griffin. Cardstock used is SU!.

This card is made with the new Preserves cartridge:

This cartridge is one that I have wanted for a long time. I just love anything fruit!! This definitely fits the bill! It has almost any kind of fruit you can think of and then a few more you did not know existed! I was very impressed when I got my first peek.

with this card I did more of the cricut wallpapering techinique. I cut all of the raspberries at 2"and adhered them to base of the card. I think I cut 20 out total using the auto fill feature. I think I ended up cutting about 2o single raspberries total.

For the central focus of the card I cut the circle and inlay using the 'lid' feature. It was cut at 2 1/2" and layered. This feature will be perfect for those of you who make your own jams and jellies!

Paper used is Bo Bunny and Papertrey Ink.

This card is made with the new Just Because Cards cartridge:

This cartridge is chalked full of fantastic cuts and sentiments. It is perfect for those card makers out there. However, those of you who are scrapbookers don't count this cartridge out. The cuts are so cut that they can easily be used for layouts. Seriously! It has a pickle cut and come on...that is pretty stinkin' cute!!

Everything on this card was cut at 6". Which happens to be the height of the card, but it falls short of the usual 4 1/4" width. Basically I do not think these cards are standard sized cards. From what I have done so far though, the size on the cricut directly correlates to the height of the card. Keep that in mind when cutting from this cartridge.

I used core'dinations cardstock on this project.

Batman Valentines for my son's kindergarten party using the Batman cricut cartridge

Hello, everyone! Today Joy and I are doing a super hero Valentine blog hop. We are also both giving away the Batman cartridge and the Superman cartridge. All you have to do is sign up to follow both blogs and leave a comment. We will each draw a winner on Wednesday of next week.

On to the valentines.....

I was so excited to get this cartridge because I knew that I was going to be able to make really cute Valentine cards for my son's kindergarten class. He really loves batman, so I got his seal of approval very quickly after I told him my plan.

This was cut at 41/2 inches and the only layer is the yellow bat. So, making large quantities of this project is super easy. I actually made 22 in about an hour and a half.

For the inside I just cut the paper 4" x 4". Then stamped it using a few stamps I had in my stash including a halloween stamp set that has the little bat you see. I went for total simplicity with this project, but you could add a little more for a bit extra. Maybe some glitter or liquid glass.

Be My Valentine!

Hello, everyone!

Today's card is a Valentine card I made using the Love Struck mini cartridge. This cartridge is perfect for any valentine project you might have. The heart is cut out at 4".

I used my copic markers to color the clear rhinestones, so they would match the paper. That is one of the great things about the copics. You can customize your embellishments!

Valentine is cut at 1".

Forever Young thank you card

Hello, everyone!

This is the card that I demo'ed at CHA. As fun as it was doing the demo with Joy on the stage, I do not think my future is in stage demonstrations. I was so nervous before I did the demo. As a small girl I thought I would love to be a stage performer, but now I realize that life on the stage is not for me! Like I keep telling Joy...I just like making pretty things!

I made this VERY easy card using Forever Young. I think the flowers on this cartridge are REALLY cute. They are so fun and versatile!

If anyone has any really good tips on house training a 10 week old puppy let me know. We are trying to crate train her and it is going ok so far, but we are not there 100%....who am I am kidding we are not even close! I can't get irritated with her though because she is so cute! I will have to post a picture of her soon.

One last thing, if you have not already checked out Scrapguy's blog...you really should! He has fantastic give-aways and even better projects and videos. I met him at the super show and absolutely adore him! He is one of the funniest people I have ever met!

Thank you card using the Sentimental cricut cartridge

Hello, everyone!

I hope you are all having a great week so far. I know that having a puppy is a lot of work! We really love her lots though. I always forget that part. You just look at their sweet little face and that 's it.

Anyway, this card was one of my prototypes for the CHA demo I did. I ended up not using this design, but I was trying to illustrate that you can use your cricut to make patterned paper. Basically, I cut the 'damask' shape(from Sentimental cartridge) about 20 times . Then adhered them all over the paper. It is VERY easy to do and it adds a 3D effect to your plain paper. The sentiment is also from Sentimental.

Hanna Montana birthday card

Hello, everyone! Today I have a card I made for my niece, Katelynn, who just turned 7. I used the Hanna Montana cartridge and a new CTMH paper line. Let me tell you the truth, I almost did not post this because I was not crazy about how it turned out. Also, it was not an easy through together. Yes, it took a couple of hours to make a card this unattractive ;-) I had a good plan....the perfect paper....the perfect cartridge. *sigh* Oh well, you win some you lose some.

I am still trying to recover from our crazy CHA trip. Boy was that a great time, but very exhausting. It was a dream come true though!

Simple birthday card made with Beyond Birthdays

Hello, everyone! I have a super simple card for you today. I dusted off my Beyond Birthdays cartridge and cut out this really cute title. Then added it to the bottom of my card. It does not get much easier than that!

I like to go back to older cricut cartridges every now and then and re-discover them. Beyond Birthdays is definitely great one to rediscover if you are a card maker.

I used CTMH paper and ribbon.

I leave California today and head back to Texas. We are all exhausted, but have had a fabulous time!
