Songbird thank you card

Hello, everyone!

Today I have a card that I made using the new Songbird cartridge, a stamp from Unity, and my trusty copic markers.

My color scheme was not a usual one that I would normally use, but I felt like stepping out of my comfort zone on this one. Besides coloring the bird and frame with my markers, I also colored the pearl accents to match the aqua I was using. That is one the the really awesome things about copic markers. You can easily customize your embellishments!

The nested shapes are cut from Songbird. I really love that cartridge! It has a lot to offer!

I am getting so excited about attending CHA this year. I need to go shopping with Joy and Tammy next week to pick up some cute things to wear. Also, I need to call Kevin, my stylist, for an appointment. I just had one a few weeks ago, but I want my roots to look good. I can't be doing demo's on the provocraft stage with bad roots can I? Which reminds me, I so need a manicure before I go. My hands are a little worse for wear these days. When shooting the last video I filmed for Christmas with the Cricut my DH zoomed in on my hands and I almost fainted when I saw the play back. It was not pretty!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Thursday!

Hello, everyone! Sorry I have been so quiet this week. I have had a lot going on and have not had a chance to photograph some cards I had made until today. So, I am posting one today and another tomorrow. That way I can at least get in two post this week!

This card was made using Close To My Heart patterned papers and SU! cardstock. I used a Unity stamp and colored him in with my copics. I am so excited about going to San Antonio for the certification class! I cannot wait!

Have a great rest of your day!!

A different take on yesterday's card...

Hello, everyone!!

Here is the other thank you card for this week. It is the same sketch as yesterday's card just flipped. I like the first one, so I thought I would just do another like it, but slightly different.

For this card I used another retired SU! paper line and a stamp from Unity.

Have a wonderful day!!

thanks

Happy Wednesday, everyone!!!

Here is the sister to yesterday's thank you card. I just love those Unity stamps!!! Isn't that apple the cutest!?!

The paper is SU! and the embellishments are Close To My Heart. The tag the apple is on is cut from a cricut cartridge. Like the pumpkin from yesterday, I colored in the stamped image with my copics. I was getting rusty with my copic coloring, so I had to dust them off and color on Sunday. I really need to find the time to take some more classes!

Hope you all have a great day!

I'm on a roll.....

Hello!

Can you believe it two days in a row! Woohoo!

This is another card I made with the Earth Love paper pack. The stamp is from Unity and is colored with my copic markers.

Don't forget to head over to Christmas with the Cricut today to see one of my newest Layouts because it is Layout Thursday! While you are there leave a comment so we can enter you in this week's giveaway for two cricut cartridges (Pink Journey and Designer's Calendar) plus a pack of Core'dinations paper.

Have a great day!!

Sweetheart cricut cartridge!

Ok here is the deal, I really thought this cartridge was not going to be all that great. I figured since I already owned the Wedding Solutions cartridge there would be no need for the Sweetheart cartridge as I thought it would be similar. I could not have been more wrong! It has some of the cutest designs! Things that you will not find on any other cart. Like an awesome gum ball machine which I can guarantee you will see soon on something that I make.

This cartridge is probably my second favorite of the new releases. My favorite being Winter Woodland of coarse. It is pretty close though!

This tree cut is pretty darn cute I think. When I was flipping through the handbook this morning I just kept coming back to it. So, I just had to use it.

The grass is cut from the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. I am not a big fan of the dolls, but the extras are pretty cool. This grass cut included!

This card is made using mostly Bo Bunny paper. I also used some green core'dinations paper for the leaves and grass. The ribbon is Papertrey Ink and the sentiment is from Unity Stamps.

TFL!!!

Oh, dear!

Has it been 5 whole days since I posted anything on this blog!?! My apologies! It has been a crazy several days for me!

My A/C completely broke! Which was really terrible timing because it is mid August!!! Which just happens to be the hottest time of the year here in Dallas. My house was almost 100 degrees at one point. Unbelievably miserable! Anyway, we got a brand new a/c and system and it is feeling mighty fine now!

Since everything is sorted out with that I decided I would actually create something today! I needed a birthday card for a dear friend of mine who turned 32 last week. I had been so busy with Christmas with the Cricut I totally forgot to make him a card.

This card is made with the 'Orbit' line from Crate Paper. I also used my Unity and Close to my heart stamps. The pocket was stamped onto Core'dinations then distressed. I was really trying to give the illusion of denim.

TFL!!

Aren't you sweet unity stamps

Happy Friday, Everyone!! What a crazy week it has been for me! Hopefully next week will be a bit less stressful/busy. Launching a high volume blog is a lot of work gals!! I never thought it would be, but believe me it is!

Which reminds me, if you have not checked out my new venture (Christmas with the Cricut) with two other FANTASTIC ladies you MUST! We will be giving away a cartridge every week until Christmas. Some weeks we will even give more...a lot more! You will just have to follow us to see what I am talking about. I promise you will not be disappointed!

Anyway, my BIL and new SIL are coming to visit us from England next week! It is very exciting because I have never met her in person. Since my spare room is my scrap room(just add a air mattress and voila instant guest room ;-)) I am not exactly sure how much posting/crafting I will be doing. I know one thing for sure, it will drive me insane not to be able to make anything for a week. So, I will have to figure out something.

Ok, on to the card I made the other day.......

This card I made using my trusty new Unity stamps(cannot tell you enough how much I love these little gems). I believe the stamp set is call '100% happy'. Anyway, the paper is something I bought whilst shopping with my good friend Joy at the Great American Scrapbook convention at Cricut Dan's boothe. They sell the cutest doodlebug stuff at their boothe every year. Anyway, I saw the fruity paper and snatched it up as soon as I could. TOO CUTE!!! The strawberries are colored with my copics.

Have a great weekend!!

TFL!!
