Pi = Pie t-shirt made using Cricut Iron On Vinyl.

Hello, friends!

Today's iron on tee is made for my brother, Nevada, who is currently finishing up his engineering degree. I gave him lots of choices in images for his t-shirt and he wanted the symbol for Pi. This image is located on the Brooklyn Iron-On cartridge (on sale this week).

I kind of felt Pi all by itself would have made for a very boring t-shirt. Instead I wanted to add some whimsey by adding the slice of pie. This cut can be found on the From My Kitchen cartridge. To find the perfect equal sign I did a simple search in the Cricut Craft Room.  The ones I ended up choosing was from Something To Celebrate.

The problem with making these tees is once your family realizes you can make them they start lining up. I now have my dad and baby brother putting in orders. Back to the craft room I go ;-)

I am getting the tutorial together. Look for it on the blog next week!

Flower bag made using the NEW Sophie and Something to Celebrate cartridges

Hello, friends!

Ok, now before you guys start thinking I am crazy making all of these bags, you should know that I have given most of them away as gifts. This bag and yesterday's bag went to couple of cool chicks who actually work at Provo Craft. Hopefully they are enjoying them as much as I enjoyed making them!

Now today's bag is made using the Sophie cartridge and the Something to Celebrate cartridge. Who knew that the font on Something to Celebrate was so cute? It wasn't until I actually cut the letters that I realized how fantastic it is.

Click here for ==> Melanie's FABULOUS Cutting Fabric with the Cricut Tutorial

The flower is cut out at 8" using the Sophie cartridge. I cut an extra circle for the center, but I cannot for the life of me remember what size.
I think the leaves are cut out at 3".
The 'C' is cut out at 4" using Something to Celebrate.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Be sure to check back in tomorrow because it is Hello Thursday tomorrow. I will go live as soon as Provo Craft gives me the ok!

Rose bag made using the NEW Sophie and Something to Celebrate cartridges

Hello, friends!

Today I have another bag because it's bag week over here at Courtney Lane Designs ;-) This particular bag I made using the Sophie cartridge (this is a Circle Exclusive) and the Something To Celebrate cartridge.

For those of you who are still worried that the Cricut will not cut fabric very well, have a look at the rose below! Can you believe that that was cut with fabric using my Cricut? The key is the starch. You have got to starch your fabric with In an inch of it's life! Then the fabric is so stiff it almost acts like paper.

I cut the rose out at 8" using Sophie.
The leaves were cut at 2 1/2"using Sophie.
The 'D' was cut out using Something to Celebrate at 3".
Thanks so much for stopping by today! See you guys back here tomorrow with yet another bag. Also, don't forget that this week is Hello Thursday and I have some great things to show you as soon as I get the go ahead on Thursday.

Celebrate today and always card made using the NEW something to Celebrate cartridge!

Hello, friends!

This card is made using the NEW Something to Celebrate cartridge.  At first I found this cartridge a wee bit on the cutesy side, but then after studying it and thinking about what to do I realized that it didn't have to be. You can make things that look cutesy into elegant things with the right paper and mind set. Well, using your cuttlebug to add some texture doesn't hurt either *wink*

I used American Crafts paper and Papertrey Ink ribbon.
I cut these lovebirds out at 2 1/4".
The stamp is also from Papertrey Ink.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I will catch you all back here tomorrow with yet another project!

Now lets talk turkey! As per usual I have the cartridges listed in order of which I like the most. I love Art Philosophy the most because Close To My Heart is also going to sell (as of Aug 1st) coordinating stamps and chipboard! I have gotten a good sample of these things and Joy and I were overwhelmed with possibilities!

I am not sure if you guys know, but I have been a Close To My Heart consultant for over 3 years now. So, if you are interested in ordering this FABULOUS cartridge you can by clicking here as of August 1st ==> http://melaniebrown.myctmh.com/

Now to be clear this cartridge is not available until August 1st, but that is like Monday!

ART PHILOSOPHY this is a Close To My Heart exclusive and is a total winner. This cartridge has tags, a great font, awesome basic shapes, a card feature, boxes, 3D flowers, and much more. This is one of those cartridges that is you could only have one on a desert island this would be it. Close to My Heart is selling it in a bundle that includes 3 sheets of coordinating chipboard and 3 sets of coordinating stamps.

The paper, stamps, and ribbon used is from Close to My Heart.
I cut this little tag out at 2 1/2". The house is cut out at 1". This tag was cut out and then added to coordinating chipboard from Close To My Heart. LOVE THAT!
This journaling spot is cut out at 2 1/2". The hearts are cut out at 2 1/2" and 1 1/2".
'home' is cut out at 1 1/2" and 'sweet' is cut out using gypsy font. The shape that 'sweet' is on was cut out at 1 1/2 and put onto a coordinating piece of chipboard.
The house was cut out at 3" and the doily was cut out at 5 1/2".

ART NOUVEAU This cartridge has some really beautiful images on it. It is perfect for jewelry making and home decor projects. It has two fonts, unique images of women from a classical era, and beautiful flowers on it.

I used Basic Grey paper.
I cut this beautiful bee at 3".
The stamp is from My Creative Time stamps. The stamp set is called 'My Favorite Sayings'.

SOPHIE This cartridge is the Circle exclusive for the next quarter. If you were on the fence about joining, perhaps this is what you needed to push you over the edge and take the plunge. This cartridge has 4 card features, a doily feature, and a bookmark feature. It also has lots of flowers, leaves, birds, and damask shapes. This cartridge would be great for all kinds of projects especially cards and home decor. I can also see lots of scrapbook layouts being made using this cartridge as well!

I bought this canvas bag at Hobby Lobby.
The fabric is cut out at 10".

SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE This cartridge has your all your reasons to celebrate covered. Images included are great for baby showers, birthdays, weddings, and work parties! This cartridge also includes a festive font and matching card feature.

Paper and ribbon are from SU!
The gift cut is cut out at 2 3/4".
The stamps are from Papertrey Ink.
I used a damask decor cuttlebug folder for texture.

SIMPLY SCARECROW Ok true confession time, scarecrows usually really creep me out. I am not sure why, but they do. However, the ones on this cartridge seem more benign. Especially the female one which I thought was a great idea. Also this cartridge has some really great Autumnal word art. If you are yearning for fall as much as I am this might be just the thing you need to put you in the mood for cooler weather!

The paper is from Close To My Heart.
I cut the cornstalks out at 5".
This tag is actually from Art Philosophy (love that cartridge) at 4" and I added the little crows to it. They are cut out at 2".
The scarecrow is cut out at 5".
I cut the title out at 3 1/4".

Now it's time to hop on over to Joy's blog! She has tons of beautiful things made using the new cartridges AND a big giveaway! click here ==> Obsessed with Scrapbooking

Thanks so much for stopping by! I have even more projects to show you made using the new cartridges tomorrow, so make sure you check back in! *edited to add that I will not be posting again until Monday since the HT go ahead was so late*
