Today I have a wreath that I made using the Cricut Essentials cartridge that comes on the E2. I have always loved wreaths. Never did I think I could make one using my cricut until recently. I was asked to make one using this cartridge and this is what I came up with. It was super easy too. The hard part was putting the yarn around the wreath itself. That took forever! The Cricut part was super simple though. You WILL need a hot glue gun for this one for sure!
I just cut the flowers at varying sizes and layered them. Then added a button to the center. Easy peasy! |
Thanks so much for dropping in. Don't forget that tomorrow I will be posting the winner of the Best of 2009 cartridge. To check out that giveaway click here ==> Hello Thursday giveaway

I absolutely LOVE your wreath. Gorgeous - I saw the sneak peek in Everyday Cricut and I had to get a full look. BEAUTIFUL!!!
Pretty wreath! Love the flowers! TFS.
Melanie .. the wreath is PRECIOUS!!! LOVE It
I know what you mean about the yarn wreath. The yarn part takes forever! Using paper flowers is a great alternative to felt flowers. I found the felt flowers took a lot more than hot to to adhere. Looks great, thanks for the inspiration!
I really love the wreath idea ... I think I am going to have to make one for Halloween for my new place. Thanks so much for sharing!
I have never made a wreath, but this one is so beautiful and looks like maybe even I can make it! Thanks for the inspiration!

Pretty wreath! Maybe you could use some strips of fabric instead of yarn and it wouldn't take as long.
What an awesome wreath. Love it. I have white yarn also. Thanks for the inspiration.
Awesome idea!! Gives me a great idea for a Christmas one :)
What a pretty wreath!! I think you could also wrap it with material, it would not take as long to cover. Thank you!
Lovely! And I can see your spray of flowers over a mirror or photo frame. Great idea!
Fabulous idea! Thank you for the inspiration.

Fabulous wreath. I love the endless ideas you share, thanks.
It's very pretty Melaine! I'm surprised you didn't put flowers all the way around the wreath! LOL
That probably would have taken forever to do! :o)

Very nice wreath! Bet it would look good with ribbon in place of the yarn too. Thanks for the chance to win the 2009 cartridge!
Nice wreath. I enjoy seeing how the Cricut can be used for things other than cards and page layouts. The card and layouts are awesome also, but the more I see that can be done with my new toys the more excited I get. Thank you so much for sharing such great ideas.
THATS WAY TO CUTE, IT WOULD LOOK FREAT IN A LITTLE GIRLS ROOM OR BETTER YET ON THE FRONT DOOR, SO EVERYONE CAN SEE IT. OMG I CAN SEE A HALLOWEEN AND THANKSGIVING ONE, CHRISTMAS ONE, I COULD GO ON & ON & ON LOL. THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO AND SHARING. 1205love@gmail.com

This is so cute! I'm envisioning one for every season! :)
That is so nice. Thank you for sharing that with us.
Soooo pretty. The space between my front door and the storm door is not very deep but I love wreaths. This looks like the answer for me.
The wreath is beautiful - but I think I'll try something else for the wrap - maybe tulle. Thanks for getting the creative juices flowing. Loster
Wow, this looks soooo elegant. I Love It! Smooches... Felicia
