Masculine birthday card made using the Groovy Times cartridge

Happy Monday, everyone! Today I have a card that I made for the Bitten By the Bug weekly challenge using the Groovy Times cartridge and a few Close To My Heart stamps.

As you all know, I really struggle with making masculine stuff. However, my 10 year old thought this was "cool", so I'm happy with it.

I used the first stamp set shown below to make the tire marks and the second for the sentiment. The background with the gears and stars was made using stickers from the paper pack (Echo Park Boy's Life) I used. I just kind of scattered them around.

I agree with your son, it is a great guy card, especially for a teen turning 16. And yes guy cards are a challenge to make. Hope your doing well and have a great, restful, and safe Memorial Day.

Oh Melanie I so laughed when I read your blurb of what your son said and Oh yes a kid always tells the truth and he's so right it's totally cool and the design for the car rocks you really nailed the cool vroom, vroom of it all. I so agree with you it is hard to come up with masculine ideas for a card no for my line of creativity it's scrappin' now this is easy for a masculine look. You did a T-RIFFIC creative job.
