Masculine birthday card made using the Groovy Times cartridge

Happy Monday, everyone! Today I have a card that I made for the Bitten By the Bug weekly challenge using the Groovy Times cartridge and a few Close To My Heart stamps.

As you all know, I really struggle with making masculine stuff. However, my 10 year old thought this was "cool", so I'm happy with it.

I used the first stamp set shown below to make the tire marks and the second for the sentiment. The background with the gears and stars was made using stickers from the paper pack (Echo Park Boy's Life) I used. I just kind of scattered them around.

love Valentine card made using Groovy Times

Hello, friends!

I hope you all had a nice weekend. Mine was very uneventful! I start school this week though, so I am trying to mentally get ready for that. I am full time now. I figured if I did not go full-time I would never finish! The jury is still out on how I am going to manage everything with that kind of workload. Luckily this semester I am not taking classes that will require much writing.

Today I have a valentine made with an unlikely cartridge. Groovy Times is one of those cartridges that is more than you think it is. I am not into the 60's 70's seen at all, but I like this cartridge. I think it is because it has many images on it that do not scream retro. Some of the images can go either way. This image in particular has a very modern look to it. It is one of my favorite Valentine images on a Cricut cartridge.
The paper is from We Are Memory Keepers.
I cut the main shape out at 2". Then I cut the additional hearts out at 2 1/2" and 3" to shadow the image.
The ribbon is SU!
The border was made using a Martha Stewart punch.

Wishing you rainbows an sunshine card made using the NEW Groovy Times cartridge!

Hello, friends!

Today I have another card made with one of the new cartridges. Don't be fooled by Groovy Times 60's and 70's appearance. It can be used in lots of other ways that are not quite so psychedelic. Both projects I have made using this cartridge do not have a 60's or 70's feel at all. I particularly love this rainbow! It just seemed so happy! FYI when cutting this rainbow you will start at the bottom. The first cut is the blue. Then the base shift would be the green. This is good info to have because I cut this rainbow completely backwards when I first attempted it.

The paper is from Bo Bunny and the stamp is from Papertrey Ink.
I cut the rainbow at 1 3/4".
I used a glitter paper for the clouds.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I will see you all back here tomorrow!!

Have a terrific Tuesday!
