Floral yarn wreath made using the Cricut Essentials cartridge

Hello, friends!

Today I have a wreath that I made using the Cricut Essentials cartridge that comes on the E2. I have always loved wreaths. Never did I think I could make one using my cricut until recently. I was asked to make one using this cartridge and this is what I came up with. It was super easy too. The hard part was putting the yarn around the wreath itself. That took forever! The Cricut part was super simple though. You WILL need a hot glue gun for this one for sure!
I just cut the flowers at varying sizes and layered them. Then added a button to the center. Easy peasy!

Thanks so much for dropping in. Don't forget that tomorrow I will be posting the winner of the Best of 2009 cartridge. To check out that giveaway click here ==> Hello Thursday giveaway

I know what you mean about the yarn wreath. The yarn part takes forever! Using paper flowers is a great alternative to felt flowers. I found the felt flowers took a lot more than hot to to adhere. Looks great, thanks for the inspiration!

Pretty wreath! Maybe you could use some strips of fabric instead of yarn and it wouldn't take as long.

It's very pretty Melaine! I'm surprised you didn't put flowers all the way around the wreath! LOL

Very nice wreath! Bet it would look good with ribbon in place of the yarn too. Thanks for the chance to win the 2009 cartridge!

Nice wreath. I enjoy seeing how the Cricut can be used for things other than cards and page layouts. The card and layouts are awesome also, but the more I see that can be done with my new toys the more excited I get. Thank you so much for sharing such great ideas.

Soooo pretty. The space between my front door and the storm door is not very deep but I love wreaths. This looks like the answer for me.

The wreath is beautiful - but I think I'll try something else for the wrap - maybe tulle. Thanks for getting the creative juices flowing. Loster
