Kristina's Color Challenge #34

Now this card has ruined my tv watching tonight. The entire time I was watching House I was designing this in my head. So, I will have to re-watch it tomorrow because I have no idea what went on! I used kraft paper as well as white as a neutral. I just felt like it needed more of an anchoring color. I think the kraft does that. The other thing is I finally got to use this stamp set I bought forever ago and had not used it. I thought it was a cute set when I bought it, but never found a good way to use it. Anyway, TFL!!

Ok, a few people have asked me about the threads I used on this card. I used sassy strands by CTMH. They are just chenille strands and I wrapped them around a square piece of cardstock. It was extremely tedious, but I got the desired effect I wanted. Also I have these in every color offered and this is the first time I have found a use for them. So, I am so glad Kristina had this challenge.

Woah! That was my expression when I clicked on your post. Did you wrap and adhere some kind of ribbon around the cardstock to create this design?

I know what you mean when you're totally concentrated on a design for a card instead of TV. Often times I have to rewatch my favorite TV shows because I'm so focused on what I'm creating!

Anyway, I'm rooting for you to get picked on the top 10 :)

OK, I think I'm going to have to "cross over" into CTMH land and get some of these. Just too pretty. Makes me want to put on my softest sweater. You did an awesome job!!

Great card! I too, took a very literal interpretation of the challenge. I almost went with ribbon, but settled for cardstock. Thanks for sharing!
