Pretty flower card made using the Picturesque cartridge and my trusty cuttlebug.

Hello, friends!

How was your weekend? Mine seemed really short. I had a Biology project I had to work on and that pretty much took all weekend. Hopefully, you guys had a much more relaxing and fun last few days!

Today's card is made using the Picturesque cartridge(my all time favorite until Damask and Elegant Edges). This elusive cartridge is now available at JoAnn's. I also used the cuttlebug to make this beautiful texture. I think it adds a lot to this simple card.

I used Bo Bunny paper.

I cut the flowers out at 1 1/2".

I used my trusty cuttlebug and the Victoria folder for the wonderful texture!

Celebrate card made using Picturesque and Paper Lace Cricut cartridges!

Hello, friends!!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! My house was finally cleaned and laundry is all caught up! However, this week is Spring Break so lets see how long the clean house lasts :-(


Today's card is the fourth card in my Card Making with the Cricut Basics series. It is about the rule of three. This is one of my favorite things to do with Cricut cuts. All you have to do is cut out three of the same thing or three complimenting things and VOILA!

I used Picturesque for the beautiful flower and Paper Lace for the sentiment.

The paper is Bo Bunny Double Dot.

I cut the flowers out at 1 1/2".

'Celebrate' was cut out at 1 1/2".

I hope you are all having a great week! Re-entry into regular everyday life after being on the cruise has proved difficult. Real life stinks! I want to go back on the ship :-(

Today I have another card made with both Picturesque and Paper Lace cartridge to show you how you can make a pattern using Cricut cuts. This is super easy and looks really great in person. I just glued down the cuts and trimmed off the excess and voila!

The paper is Bo Bunny.

Thank you was cut out at 1 1/2".

The little 'tiles' were cut out at 1 1/2".

Happy birthday card using Picturesque and Paper Lace

Good morning, friends!

This is late going up because I am scrambling at the moment. I have a make-up test this morning that I found out about yesterday evening. Not much studying has been done and I am more than a little panicked! I thought I was going to take my test on Wednesday, so I am a little unprepared to take it this morning :-( Anyway, fingers crossed it goes well.

Oh by the way, I did make an 'A' on my Economics test I had before I left. I found that out yesterday as well. I cannot believe I did so well. I was sure I had made a low 'B' or something. It is the most boring class ever too!

Ok, so today is lesson #2 of cardmaking with your Cricut. Today's card is made using Picturesque and Paper Lace again. Today's technique is making a shaped card. Sometimes you just don't want the plain Jane A2 size, but don't want to pull out DS or Gypsy to weld a new shape. Well, some cartridges already have some cards ready to cut. Some of the are shapes, but some are still rectangular, but have interesting pieces and parts. The card feature on Picturesque has interesting pieces and parts.

This dragonfly card is very simple to make and can be used for many different occassions. I just love anything with dragonflies or butterflies, so I have cut both cards from this cartridge at some point.

I used Bo Bunny Double Dot paper and Papertrey Ink ribbon. The card is cut out at 4 3/4".

Happy Birthday is from Paper Lace and is cut out at 3/4"

The dragonfly's wings are cut at 2 3/4"

Congrats! Butterfly card using Picturesque and Paper Lace cartridge.

Hello, friends!

I am back from the most wonderful trip EVER! I had the best time meeting all of the winners of the cruise and teaching my class. I have to tell you all that the cruise line we went on was incredible! If any of you are thinking about going on a cruise take a look at Holland America. The service was SPECTACULAR and the food was INCREDIBLE! I could not have been happier with everything about that cruise!

Also, I met some really wonderful people and got to see some people that I already knew. We all had a blast together. It was so fun. If Cricut ever does another cruise giveaway, make sure you send in your scratch off's for the second chance giveaway! It seemed like there was quite a few people that won the cruise that way.

Today's card is actually one of the cards that I was going to teach on the boat, but ended up teaching a book instead. In fact, all of the cards that I am showing this week were ones I was going to teach on the boat. They are all a bit more simple than my usual cards, but I was going for a basic cardmaking with your Cricut class.

This first card was to show how to use a Cricut cut as your focal point. You see, there are many ways to use your Cricut in making cards and this is the easiest and first one I will show you.

The butterfly tag is cut using Picturesque and the sentiment is from Paper Lace.

I cut the tag out at 2 1/2".

I cut the butterfly out as a layer at 1 1/2".

Congrats was cut at 1/2".

The paper I used is Bo Bunny Double Dot.

Birthday wishes card made using Picturesque Cricut cartridge!

Hello, friends!!

I saw a few questions yesterday that I will answer for you.
Q: One of them is where do I get my double dot paper?
A: I get it from a local store, but you can order it by the sheet online.  One of the places online that I have ordered it from is called Croppin' Paradise. Just google Bo Bunny double dot paper and there will be lots of places you can find it online.
Q: How did I layer yesterday's card?
A: I cut out the top layer several times(once in black, once in white, and once in pink) and used the cut outs in the open spaces. Still confused? I will do another post about this another time that includes pictures.
Q: How do I tie my bows and will I do a video?
A: I have been asked this many times and want to do a video, but I am not sure how helpful it would be as it is hard to tie a bow with my arms around my camera.  You see, my camera set up for filming has my tripod between my knees and it means I have to reach around to tie bows. This is not conducive for bow tying, but the best way to film. As soon as I figure out a better way I will certainly do it. I will say this, practice does make perfect. Practice practice practice! That is the best bit of advice I can give you.   

Today I have a card that is perfect for when you need something super fast. I made it using the Picturesque cartridge which is my all time favorite cartridge. This cartridge has a very fun card feature that cuts very pretty cards including this butterfly card below.

I used Core'dinations cardstock and Bo Bunny double dot. I cut this card using my 12x12 size mat and used the fit to page button. It cuts a little smaller than a A2 sized card once folded in three ways.

I added colored paper behind the butterflies to make them pop. then, I used some clear rhinestones to add just that little bit more.

I used my white pen to add stitching and antennae.

The stamp is from Papertrey Ink.

mother's day layout using Nursery Rhymes and Picturesque

Hello, everyone! Today I thought I would mix it up a little bit with a layout. This layout was made with my dear mother in mind. Her favorite flowers are yellow roses, so when I decided to make a layout for mother's day I knew it would have to include them. I was lucky and came upon this American Crafts paper. I just love it!

The title is made using Nursery Rhymes. The flowers and leaves are all cut from Picturesque.

A few cards made with Serenade and Picturesque!

Hello, everyone!!!

I have three cards that I made yesterday with my new Serenade and Picturesque cartridges that Provo Craft sent me. I have to say, they are amazing!! I seriously think these are going to be the new 'must have' cartridges. I always knew I wanted Serenade, but I was not that crazy with the pictures that I had seen of Picturesque. Flash forward to me picking them up at Joy's house, and my mind was forever changed!! These carts have a lot to offer!!
