Cricut Tea Party card

Cricut Tea Party card
Quick and Easy

Hello, friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I tried to spend as much quality time with my mom as possible since she is abandoning me and moving to Arkansas *wink*.

Today's card is one I made for the Bitten By the Bug blog. This week's theme is tea time and we were asked to make something using a tea cup or pot. I decided to use the tea themed card from the Artfully Sent cartridge and added a tea pot from the same cartridge. Then, I used the slice feature in Design Space to take it from a card shape to a rectangle with cut outs.

I knew I wanted this card to look like a tea party, so I needed the pot to pour tea into one of the cups. To achieve this, I took a 's' from the same cartridge and sliced it to make it look like tea. I really like how it turned out.

The flowers on the card are stickers from the Blossom compliments that I popped up using dimentional adhesive.

OMG Melanie what a super cute card.
Your ideas for your card are amazing and totally that of a creative genius I'd say your Exploring adventure was a totally successful one. The colors and papers you chose are awesome and love your idea for the tea bag tag to be dimensional...You truly did an outstanding creative job!! Loved your little Mommy abandoning you story...tugged at my heat strings. Cute but so true in a sense..LOL you do have a way with words. Hope your Mother's Day was an awesome one.
YOU so ROCK!!

Tea-riffic. I like the tea theme & especially like how you did this with the cutouts & the tea pouring "s". I'm a tea drinker. I made a tea card using some stamps/dies for a different non-Cricut challenge and will have to give this a try.

Love your take on the tea theme-especially the trick with the s to make it look like the tea is pouring out. I will definitely be using that in the future! Such pretty paper too!

This is such a cute card idea! I love the way you have combined the layers with patterns under the cut outs, some popped up on another layer and all the pretty flowers and embellies. Your work is always so inspirational.
Thank you for sharing! :)

Nice designer card! Had a great time with all my friends at our graduation dinner recently. Booking one of the affordable San Francisco venues was our best decision as dinner, desserts, drinks and Dj was all in our budget. Thinking to plan another get together before going to engross in further busy study schedules.
