Artfully Sent Gold Embossed card

Hello, friends!

Artfully Sent Gold Embossed card

Today's post was almost just pics. I went to the doctor today and because my doctor had a ton of hospital admissions he ended up being 3 hours behind! We were there for over four hours. After, I had such a headache that I came home and went to sleep. Well, I ended up sleeping for a long time. When I woke up, I panicked because I knew that I only had put the pics in this post and not any verbiage. Crisis totally averted!

This card is made using the Artfully Sent cartridge and a lot of fancy heat embossing. I say fancy because of how it elevates the project not because it was hard to do. If you have not done any heat embossing before, you should give it a try!

I masked the center first. Then, I stamped the XO's (they are from this month's stamp of the month). After that, they were heat embossed. The circle (from a stamp set called Doodled Designs) was then stamped and heat embossed. I finished the stamping with the sentiment (stamp set called XOXO).

If you have a Cricut Explore, here is the file for this card: Artfully Sent Gold Embossed card

If you do not have a Cricut Explore, I cut out the scalloped and stitched rectangle at 5 1/4".

Love your card and yes I agree, embossing can make such a difference in a card! Thank you for sharing and it sounds like other than the wait your doctor's visit went well. Have a great day!

Wow! What a great job you did embossing such a large area so evenly. I like the circle you masked and stamped in. I think Valentines are most romantic when they are rich and have lots of lovely gold or metallic details. Those hearts are sweet!
I like the washi tape detail. I am going to have to dig my stash out and keep it handy for finishing off the inside of my cards. (Its not like a don't have a roll or two) I often use it to decorate the envelope so this way they would match.
Hope you are feeling better today and your headache is gone. Waiting rooms are such terrible places to wait! Thank goodness for Kindle on my phone.
Thank you for sharing your lovely work! :)

That is a gorgeous card. I love the gold embossing. I hope you are feeling better today. I'm sorry you had to be at the doctor's office for such a long time, that is certainly not fun.

Sorry you had to wait so long for your appointment! I hope you're feeling much better now. Your card is beautiful! I've done lots of heat embossing, but never such a large area. The effect is really nice. Thanks for sharing!
