Hello, friends!
I have a few updates on my health that I want to share with you today. Last Wednesday the 23rd, I had surgery to remove the cancerous tumor from my right lung. When they opened up my chest they found that the tumor had attached itself to my diaphragm, pericardium, sternum, upper right lobe, and one of my ribs. They were able to get the tumor off of everything but the rib which they removed. I was in the hospital for 4 days and am now at home healing. I'm in pain, but I am getting better everyday.
I see my oncologist this week again to talk about a few rounds of chemo they want me to do. While I am not looking forward to chemo, I know it has to be done and I will make it through.
Thank you all so very much for all of the prayers, well wishes, and cards! I am certain that things are going well and I am still here because of all of those prayers. You are more appreciated than you will ever know. When I call you my friends at the beginning of every blog post, know that it is how I really feel! You are all my friends and I think the world of all of you! Thank you!
