Pillow box tutorial using the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge.

Hello, friends!

I hope you are all having a great week. Mine is busy, but it is great to be back at school. Well, let me clarify that statement. I am glad to be back in a learning atmosphere, but could do with out my business calculus class. Have I ever told you guys how much I hate math? YUCK!

Today I have a pillow box tutorial that I made using the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge.  This was the first time that I had ever made a pillow box, so I had no idea what to expect. While I was making this project I was thinking about the difficulty level of making bunches of these for a wedding or some other larger function. This particular box would be ideal for such a event. I realize that my Halloween box does not make you think of wedding or a shower. However, I thought a Halloween pillow box would be great to put treats in for my son's friends.

All products used to make this pillow box are from Close To My Heart except the adhesive.
I used the Mischief paper line.
I cut this at fit to page using my 12" x 12" mat. It made for quite a large pillow box!
I scored it using my Score Pal.
I used Terrifically Tacky Tape as my adhesive.
Then I cut this border at 1 3/4".
I added black grosgrain ribbon.
I then cut these shapes out at 2 1/4".
I then use SUNSET ink and the Stamp of the Month.

I felt it needed a bow, so I added one.
I felt the bow was not enough, so I added bling!
VOILA!

Now if you are interested in this fantastic cartridge and/or the current Close To My Heart promotions you have come to the right place!

Not only will you get the stamp set shown above, but you will also get a Typeset stamp set for free if you purchase the Stamp of the Month for only $5.

Thanks for all of the tutorials.
I have a question. When you make the flowers that are formed from spirals do you start rolling at the outside end or the inside end?
