Glitter is My Favorite Color!

Hello, friends!

Today's project is one that I designed a while back and have just recently got around to actually making it. Cricut has really upped their game when it comes to vinyl! For this project, I used some of their fluorescent pink glitter iron on along with silver glitter, and the white glitter iron on vinyl. There are tons of colors these days!

The design was made using two cartridges and one font from my computer. I used Tinkerbell and Friends for the sparkles and 'is my favorite color' is Four Seasons Home Decor. The other font is called Filson. It is not a free font, but was so perfect for this project.

If you have not made an iron on project before, make sure you flip the image before you cut it. Also, the iron on material goes face down on your mat.

If you have an Explore, here is the file: Glitter is My Favorite Color!

Since one of these fonts is not a Cricut font, this cannot be exactly duplicated using the expression, so I cannot give you sizing if you do not own an Explore.

Cricut Texas Bag

Cricut Texas Bag

Scrap it, Bag it, or Decorate It Wednesday

Hello, friends!

I hope you are all having a great week! I have been beavering away in my craft room getting all of my July crafts made. The Close To My Heart convention is next month and I want ave it all done before I go. If I can get it done, I will have most of August done too! If you have any requests send them in. I am running out of ideas :-(

Today, I have a Texas themed bag that I made using my fabulous Explore and some handy iron on vinyl. State items are everywhere at the moment and as a proud Texan, I wanted to make myself a bag. Texans get a bad rap for our state pride, but I know that there are lots of crafters from other states making similar things. So, this time it is not just another Texas gal being obnoxious! At least that is what I am going with this time.

To make this project, I used the 50 States and Cricut Font cartridges. Also, I used a free font called Lauren's Script for the cursive portion. Click here to get that font ==> Lauren's Script

The bag was purchased from Hobby Lobby. It is made of burlap and that material can be tricky when doing iron on vinyl. Just go slow with it.

Something to note: When you make thee iron on items, be sure to mirror the image.

If you have a Cricut Explore, here is the file: Cricut Texas Bag

Cricut Iron-On Vinyl Suitcases for the kids

Cricut Iron-On Vinyl Suitcases for the kids

Scrap It, Bag it, Decorate it Wednesday

Hello, friends!

Before I get going, I wanted to remind all of you that you have just a few more days to take advantage of my free stamp special. Make sure you get it while you can!
 Free daffodil stamp set.

Today, I have a project that was both fun and really useful! I bought my nieces matching suitcases for their birthday. Now, I only bought the same one because this was all they had left. I knew as soon as they swiped my credit card though, that I was going to have to do something.

My nieces are sweet little angels, but I knew they would totally fight over the suitcases because there was nothing differentiating them. Then, I had a light bulb moment! I could use the beautiful sparkly glitter iron-on material and put their names on them. Immediately, after that I was worried it would be hard to do because it was not a shirt or a pillow case. This was not a flat object. It worked out though with out a hitch. The hardest part was choosing a font! FYI, I chose Cheerful Seasons.

Ok, before you look at these fabulous pictures of my beautiful project, you all should know a few things. First, when you cut the iron-on material from Cricut you need to put it face down on the mat. Second, you need to flip the image. Next, make sure you use the iron-on settings. Lastly, weed the cut from behind. You want to keep the clear plastic part in the front. It holds everything together and keeps the letters straight.

Cricut Monogrammed Stockings

Hello, friends!
Cricut Monogrammed stocking
Before I get going, I wanted to remind all of you that there is a spectacular stamp special going on this month (see all details at the end of this post)! You should really take advantage of this sale, so you can stock up on your favorites! Remember, I am giving away all of my hostess rewards to one lucky customer who purchases this month.

Today, I have a really quick and easy project that I made using Iron-on glitter vinyl, my Explore, and Christmas stockings.

This is so easy ladies! If you have no tried an iron-on project, you got to give it a whirl!

Now, because I did this with my Explore, I was able to use any font on my computer. This particular font is called 'milkshake'. Also, it has a setting for cutting the vinyl.

When you do this, make sure you put the vinyl face down on the mat. Also, since you are doing that you need to reverse the images before you cut them.
