Just Called to Say I Love You card

Hello, friends!

Today, I have a fun card that I made using a stamp set that is only available in February. This exclusive stamp set called Share the Love and if you purchase this stamp set ($17.95), Close To My Heart will donate $7 to Operation Smile. If you don't already know, Operation Smile is an international children's medical charity that provides free life-changing surgeries for children with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities.

For this card, I used Close To My Heart inks to make a watercolor effect for the background paper. I really love how this turned out! To do this, I put a drop of ink (from my re-inkers) on an acrylic blog. Then, I used a watercolor brush to dampen the watercolor where I wanted the color. Then, I added the three colors. The colors were added separately, but I allowed them to touch as they dried. This created a gradient between the colors that looks so great. It took about thirty minutes to dry.

The rest of the card is stamped and paper pieced. Easy peasy!

This stamp set is killing me. Every time I create with it I end up with Lionel Richie's "Hello", or Adele's "Hello", or Drake's "Hot Line Bling" stuck in my head all day. Now your post title has added a new song to have stuck in my head. ;)
