Cricut Warm Wishes mittens card

Hello, friends!

Today, I am hosting the challenge over at the Bitten By the Bug blog. For my challenge, I chose winter hats, mittens, or scarves. It is that time of the year where we all are wearing layers and doing what we can to stay warm. Yes, even here in Texas we are wearing coats and gloves! Anyway, I thought it would be a fun challenge.

If you would like to participate, head over to the Bitten By the Bug Blog!

For this card, I used Artfully Sent, Jolly Holidays, and used a free font called Meddon (download for free by clicking here). I used the 'slice' feature and cut out the shapes. This gives extra interest and some depth. Obviously, you do not have to do that to make this card.

If you have a Cricut Explore, here is the file: Cricut Warm Wishes mittens card

If you do not have an Explore, here are the sizes:
mittens (Jolly Holidays) - 3 1/2"
'warm' (Artfully Sent) - 1"
wishes -1"

Love this card Melanie! The mittens are just too cute and I love that you cut them out and decorated the negative space on the mittens. Great color combo too, gives that frosty feel of winter. lol Which I am feeling here in PA. Thanks for a fun challenge. Hugs, Brenda

Oh my goodness, I love the colors of your card. This card is beautiful with those gloves, wording and bling! I got the Artfully Sent cartridge and have been struggling with it. Thank goodness, you have such amazing projects on your blog. Not related to this card, I recently had to make baby shower invitations and had to use my Silhouette to make the wording. Could you possibly make a tutorial to demonstrate how to do this with changing the font and color of wording in the same body of writing?(using the Explore and Design Studio) I would really appreciate it Your tutorials are very helpful.
Thanks for choosing such a fun and apprpriate challenge! We are needing alot of bundling up with hats glove and mittens!
