Hello, friends!
It is my turn to host a challenge over on Bitten By the Bug. Since today is national pecan cookie day today, I thought it would be fun if everyone made something using a cookie! Then I started making the card and had no idea what to do with a cookie on a card. It worked out, but I maybe didn't think this one through. ;-)
For this card, I used the Artistry cartridge and a couple of new stamp sets. When I was making this card, I kept thinking about how nice it would be to eat a frosted sugar cookie or a pecan sandie. I need to stop making things with food items. Apparently, I am so easily influenced that paper food looks good to me.
If you have a Cricut Explore, here is the file: Cricut Artistry Heart Cookie Card
If you do not have an Explore, here are the sizes:
cookie - 2"
sentiment banner - 1 3/4"
aqua banner - 4"
coral banner - 4 1/4"

Well Did you get my day kick started in a super sweet way...Your card is adorable and Super Sweet...Grabbed my Kuppa Kuppa to go along with my Sugar Cookie.....ok...ok...truth of the matter is...I had just my Kuppa Kuppa no cookie!! You really REALLY did created a super Adorable card....What wasn't to love about it.....I had a hard time understanding your comment of "You didn't think it through" What did you mean? From your adorable stamped back ground to your layered banners and your sugar cookie looks so real and definitely yummy and your sentiment banner is positively ever so perfect....love the color too....GIRL YOU so did a super outstanding creative job.....now splain yourself.....Young Lady!!! *LOL*
YOU definitely ROCK!!!!!
Well, I did not consider how difficult this challenge might be. I have never crafted using a cookie (at least that I can remember) and it was harder to work one into a project that I thought it would have been. Does that make sense?
Melanie, the Falling Hearts stamp was perfect with your cookie....and the sentiment...all perfect! Such a cute card and one I could use for my granddaughter out of state (by just changing the sentiment word 'friend'). I look forward to my morning coffee and what creative item you've posted for us...Many Thanks!
This would make a great Valentine card, too. This is such a pretty card with all the beautiful colors. It is definitely SWEET!

This is a fabulous card, Melanie. I love the cookie cut, but I especially love the cookie cut on that background. Awesomeness!
