Cricut Fabulous Day card

Hello, friends!

Today, is Quick and Easy Card Monday, so I have a great card that you can put together in no time.

Quick and easy card Monday

Before I get going, there were a few questions from Friday's card that I want to address.

Had not heard of the Spring Fling cartridge. Like the pen look of the Pansy flowers. Like the use of the sequins. I'm still getting familiar with my new Cricut Explore. I'm confused as to why I cannot hide cuts with the Contour option. I leave the image and the Contour option indicates it will not allow and I sliced the image separating the parts and still cannot hide. Can you please help?

When you want to hide contour (not cut certain parts of a cut), you must ungroup and detach the images first. Give that a whirl, Melissa. You should not have anymore problems with this function. I will do a video on this.

Hi, Melanie!
Thank you so much for sharing your files for the Explore!!! I love the pansy card! I did have a problem re-creating it, though. It's probably something I did wrong, but the piece with the pansies outlined in pen and then cut appears to be substantially larger than the other pieces and I can't get them to fit together properly. Can you give me a tip on how to do it? I pray for your health and thanks, again!
Blessings and hugs!

I am not sure why this happened. Maybe there is a glitch in the system. I will send a bug report over to Cricut, so they can take a look at it. When I made this a few weeks ago, it happened to me as well and I just cut the purple piece with scissors (two easy snips) to go behind the white piece. Since I had made this weeks ago, I completely forgot that Design space had done this, so my apologies. Luckily it is an easy fix.

Can you tell me how to import your cricut design space projects? When I click on your file, it takes me to the design space, but I don't see the file.

When you want to save or use a cut file that I have provided, you need to first, be signed into Design Space. Then you click on my link. It will bring it up in Design Space and you can cut immediately. If you want to cut it later and save it, you just hit the save button at the top. All files are saved through the Design Space program and nothing is ever downloaded. The file I give is a link to the project itself and it will load up immediately if you are signed in. It is then that you can save it to your list of saved items. I will make a video about this also.

Ok, let's talk about today's project.

This card was made for the Bitten By the Bug weekly challenge which called for a project made using flowers. Um, yes please! You all know that I have no problem what so ever making a card using flowers.

I used the Spring Fling cartridge and the Cricut pens again on this project. This card comes together really quickly after you assemble the cut. The only thing you will need your paper trimmer for is your card base.

You just pop the cut onto the base using dimensional adhesive. Then, stamp your sentiment. I added sequins and a border sticker from the Blossom Compliments to dress it up a bit.

The stamp set I used is called Happy Everything and all proceeds from this set goes to Operation Smile. It is pretty cute too!

Happy Everything

If you have a Cricut Explore, here is the file: Cricut Fabulous Day card

The bow was cut at 1 3/4" and the daffodils were cut at 4".

OMG Melanie what a Gorgeous Card.
Your daffodils turned out so beautiful and love your embellishing ideas and all the colors you chose are so pretty. You really did do an outstanding creative job. Enjoyed your Q & A portion too. Looking forward to another fun week here and can't wait to see what you've had up your creative sleeve. YOU ROCK!!

Your daffodil card is so pretty! I love how you have added the pretty little pearls and sequins. The colours are so fresh.
The sun is trying to being spring to us here on the East coast but it's having a hard time. A few folks are saying the crocus and daffs are starting to pop their noses up from the snowbanks.
Until they do I will be content to see sweet bouquets like yours! Thanks for sharing! :)

This is really pretty, Melanie! I was inspired by your pansies card too and made the one with the tulips. The drawing is not centered on the cuts. I'm guessing it has something to do with calibration which my Cricut refuses to do. lol I was on the phone with them for well over an hour trying to get it to calibrate but it just wouldn't do it. Thanks for sharing your pretty cards!

Thank you for answering my question about hiding areas. I'll give the ungroup a try. Thanks for answering other peoples questions. I like learning from what others ask as well. Like the pretty Daffodils creation. The BluebOnnets are blooming in my backyard. Hubby planted them 5+ yrs ago and they have reseeded and come back every yr. I also burst the seed pods and replant some seeds as well.
