Cricut Boy's 11th Birthday card

Hello, friends!

Cricut Boy's 11th Birthday card
My son went to a birthday party this weekend and requested that I make the birthday card. I thought it would be a good time to give the new Days and Dates cartridge a spin. I also used Artbooking because I needed some shapes that Days and Dates did not have.

This was seriously easy to put together. Typically, I struggle with masculine cards, but I stuck to a primary color palette. For whatever reason, it helped me not stress about the masculinity of the card. My son liked it, so that is all that matters.

If you have an Explore, here is the file: Cricut Boy's 11th Birthday card

If you do not have an Explore, here are the sizes:

11 (Days and Dates) - 3"
 Square (Artbooking) - 4.25"
Square outline (Artbooking) - 4"

I have to say I would never guess you stress when making a masculine card. You did an awesome job with this card, perfect for an 11 year old! Thank you for sharing!

OH Melanie what an awesome card!! I love the papers and colors too. You really did come up with one fab, fun, clever and creative idea here.
Good to know that you stress too I was totally surprised to know this...but at least it makes me feel a whole lot better that someone who is as super talented and creative as you has an "Oh No what to make" Moment too (LOL)
YOU so ROCK! Thanks for the cut file too always so generous of you!!

Melanie, your son is so lucky to have a talented mom who can throw a card together in minutes for him. You are definitely his hero and rock star.

Oooh, thank Mel! I have several grandson's who are no longer "little" and it's always been challenging for me to create cards for them. This should do it!

Great design for a boy's card. They are so difficult to design for at that age. Beyond the animals and trucks but not quite into the teenage themes.
I am sure the young gentleman was very pleased with this lovely greeting. :)

Thank you for featuring a masculine card. Yours turned out beautifully. I struggle with them, too.
