Florals Embellished Thank you card

 Hello, friends!

Today I have a project made using the Florals Embellished cartridge and the Funky Blossom stamp set. I realize there is a lot going on here, but the layout is quite simple. I thought I could get away with the multitude of patterns.

I wanted to give you guys a quick tip today as well. Whenever you are wondering what size I cut something with my cricut, do the eyeball test. What do I mean by that? Well, with most cricut cartridges all you have to do is set the dial to how tall you want the cut and it will cut it with that height. Now, I mainly make A2 sized and 5" x 5" sized cards ( I occasionally do a 4" x 9", but I will tell you when I do that). The one above is an A2 vertical, so if you eye ball the cut above it looks like it is about 4" tall. All you would need to do is set your dial at 4" and you should be ready to go!

Also, I know most of you do not have an Explore yet. However, that does not mean you cannot play around with the Design Space and use it as a tool. I highly recommend using it to find cuts to use. Just plug in butterfly in the search and you will come up with tons and tons of results.

Here is a screen shot of what I am talking about. It says there are 366 images of butterflies! Did I mention it is in color as well? You will find things you already have on cartridges and have totally forgot about!

The background is stamped.

I used a mix of Basic Grey paper.

I added a little bit of pen work to the sentiment as well.

I do not often have the inside decorated, but when I do I will post it. These images are from the Funky Blossoms stamp set.

I have this cartridge but haven't really played with it. It does look complicated that's why it's not my to reach cartridge. But I like your butterfly card. It makes me want to try this cartridge again.

Florals Embellished is one of my favorite cartridges! I love the layers on the cuts, and your combination of patters is outstanding. I'm always afraid to mix things too much, and you may just push me out of my "rut"! Thank you. BethAnn M.
