Cricut Explore ouf of the box

Hello, friends!
Today, as promised, I have a look at what to expect when your Explore arrives. Provo Craft has put a lot of thought into this machine, even considering the out of the box experience. 
The one of the left is a booklet, and the one of the right has a sample of materials you can cut using your machine like vinyl, iron-on vinyl, a duct tape sheet, and cardstock.
You can see the mat that comes with the machine between the box and the egg crate the machine is sitting in.
Your machine comes with this great tote! There are even projects loaded into the Design Space to decorate it!
Here is a view of the included cuttables.

Also, included with the machine is a power cord, USB cord, and a silver marker!
You get one of the regular grip mats.
Press the 'open' button and this is what you will see. Not a ton of Styrofoam or tape.
Just this little piece of foam. The blade is pre-loaded, so no need to worry about that.
The bottom lip has some fabulous compartments for tools and blades!
I put my tools in, so you can see how it looks. They fit in there perfectly!
I really love this little compartment for tools while you are working.
Your mat slides neatly under the machine while you are assembling your cuts! I really love this because when I am crafting, there is always the question of where to put my mat and then when I need it again, I cannot remember where I put it.
There it sits on my desk! I am now ready to rock and roll!
Now last week I made my very first project using the machine for a local business. I made sure to make something using scallops, so I could get a good look at the cutting perfection. I was not disappointed! I will post it very soon!

    0H Melanie what a beautiful Cricut. Love, Love, Love!!! I soooo can't wait to get mine....supposed to arrive at my door on Feb. 27th. I also purchased the Explore tool kit and the pack of Explore pens.
    Sooo can't wait too for all that you will be sharing and of course all your tips and ideas as to how to get the most out of this beauty.

    Can't wait to get mine as well. It was ordered as soon as it was released then, I got THE email - ha! Oh well, it will get here when it get's here. On another note, I keep seeing that cute Chevron covered album and I'd love to do that! I have the embossing folder but, can you tell me how or what they used to cut them to fit like that! Thanks in advance...

    It is a pretty machine and has some well thought out things about it. My thing is that it was to late in coming. I don't think we should have had to wait this long for perfect circles and scallops among other things. I am looking forward to seeing how well it performs and to learn more about the designing end of it.

    What a great machine, and you displayed beautiful. The Creative Holiday Cards cartridge is awesome. Love the card ideas, that way you can wipe up a card at the last minute and looks like you spent hours. Beautiful cards.

    Thank you so much for sharing about the Cricut Explore. I am trying to find out as much as possible about it. Your photos are great! They are better than any I have seen.     Wow!So nice,I love how you can store your tools & your mat under it.When I'm working on anything my cat Fluffy 18yrs old is right beside me.I can't count how many times she has sat or laid on my mat.She a big fluffy fur ball with long hair.Thanks for sharing your Explore box with us.Can't wait to see your posting on the scallops to see how good it cuts!
