Masculine birthday card

Today is my middle brother's 30th birthday, so I made him this card. It worked perfectly with this week's Bitten By the Bug 2 challenge.

This week's challenge called for a birthday card with numbers on it. I used the Frightful Affair cartridge for the numbers and Birthday Bash for the 'it's your birthday' lettering. Who knew these cards would go together so well? I love when that happens!

Now, the patterned paper is a retired paper pack that I really loved called L8TR SK8TR. The colors are so bright and cheerful, but masculine. I am not great at making masculine cards, but this paper makes it a little easier to do.

This week's prize is the Small Talk Frames and Tags cartridge!! The winner will be announced on Sunday the 19th.
To win:
1) Follow this blog or subscribe via email.
2) Leave a comment under one or all posts this week for maximum chances. See HERE if you don't know how to leave a comment

What a neat masculine bday card great colors and papers & I too love it when cartridges work together as I am huge fan of using multiple cartridges when I make my LO's or a card. Just is too much fun always with my Cricut.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I so need masculine cards. We have always had men and boys and are just starting to get a few girls added to the mix. After 50 some odd years it's about time, lol.

Thanks for an idea for a guy card. This will work for boys too old for the "cutesie" cards.

I, too, have trouble coming up with masculine cards. Even when I use more "masculine" colors I tend to want to fru-fru then up. Great inspiration. Thanks!
