Important announcements

Hello, friends!

First, I hope you are all safe and dry and that none of you received too much damage from that horrible hurricane Sandy!

Secondly, I have three important things to share with you today.  If you are also a follower of my other blog, you have most likely seen the announcement of the closure of Everyday Cricut. This decision has not come easy for us, but it was something I needed to do for followers of this blog and myself. You guys do not always get my best because so much goes into running two blogs. I want those of you who really enjoy my projects to get your money's worth. I was able to juggle both and push out quality for a while, but it has become harder and harder to do so.

I used to live and breath crafting and because of the vigorous schedule of running two blogs, it has made it not fun anymore. Making this change will hopefully bring back the joy I had in crafting. The best thing is I can post more often now and my projects can go back to being  higher quality.

This blog is still sponsored by Provo Craft and my projects will remain Cricut heavy.

Next, I want to let you know that I am going to start to have weekly giveaways similar to Everyday Cricut. This will start Monday, so keep your eyes peeled!

Last, I want to let you know is that today is the last day to order from me and qualify to win the Cricut E2 machine and get your paws on the October stamp of the month!

October Specials (LAST DAY)

Back by popular demand, I am giving away one E2 Cricut machine to a lucky customer. To be eligible to win, you have to place an order on my Close To My Heart website this month. That is it! I will draw a winner November 1st.

The October stamp of the month is a total must have! It is called Very Merry Christmas and coordinates with the Artiste cartridge, so if you have that cartridge you are going to want to snatch this up! It makes tag making a total snap!

As always, this stamp set (retail price of $17.95) is only $5 with any order of $50 or more!

Now don't forget that you can still buy the fabulous Artiste and Art Philosophy cartridges, so if you have not taken the plunge yet, come on in the water is great!

Have a Wonderful WEDNESDAY!

This is bitter sweet. When I first got bit by the cricut bug in 2009, Christmas with the Cricut was my very first blog to follow! You have inspired me and I look forward to following your blog. Thanks for sharing your talent w/us, I look forward to following your blog.

I just don't know how you manage to keep up with one blog let alone two!! Although, I will certainly miss reading. I ripped through all of my daily emails to read only yours each morning, I totally understand. I appreciate all the work you have done. I think that it's good to take a break. Even too much of something you love can be no fun. Thank you for your honesty and thoughts behind this. We will miss Everyday Cricut!

I'll miss Everyday Cricut, but I totally understand how stressful it must have been to contribute to two blogs while trying to keep up with everyday life. Thanks for all the inspiration you provided on the Cricut blog over the past few years. I'm glad you'll still be sharing your talent on your personal blog!

Thanks for the concern for us east-coasters. Our power was out for awhile, but no other damage. Some of our friends/family here in PA had some damage, but nothing as bad as in NY and NJ. I'm sorry to see Everyday Cricut go, but totally understand the time limitations!! I look forward to more great projects on this blog.

You've done an amazing job keeping up with 2 different blogs. I'm glad you're able to make a joint decision with Joy to remove Everyday Cricut so that you can be happier about blogging.
I hope that you achieve what you hope to with this decision and can't wait to see all that you share in the future here!
Hope your Halloween is happy as well as your blogging!

I also feel like this is bittersweet. Everyday cricut was the first blog I ever followed before I really even knew what a blog was. But I'm happy for you and I hope that you get a little more joy out of your decision.
