Sounds like a great weekend! Enjoy your holiday. The kids in our area go until the 23rd. Good for busy mommies...tough on teachers and bus drivers!

My favourite tradition is the weekend before Christmas when my brothers and their families and my family all get together for a big potluck meal, usually the last Sunday before. It really starts Christmas off for me.

Thanks for sharing your toys! :)

Oh how fun!
One of my favorite traditions is after we decorate the Christmas Tree early in the season we have hot chocolate and talk about our hopes for the holiday season, parties we may have planned, what we want for Christmas, who is on our list for Christmas and we also talk about memorable Christmas moments from the past.
Thanks for the chance to win.

My favorite tradition is each year I do some special one-on-one time with each daughter. With the oldest daughter we always made Christmas fudge together. Now that she is 26 and lives in far away Chicago that tradition is done and gone. My next daughter and I now make Christmas cookies together. She will be turning 16 next year so I only have a few more seasons to share our one-on-one. Treasure those times.

My favorite tradition is all of it! Putting out the decorations, sitting in the glow of the tree lights with my husband, seeing my childrens' excitement when they open their stockings (and they are 40, 38, and 30!) and now most of all it's seeing the glow on my only granddaughter's face and being in the presence of her excitement! It's all wonderful!

Favorite holiday traditions. Well, my favorite is when we all sit down together, EVERY evening the month of December, on the couch and read some sort of Christmas story and then sing carols together. This started when my kiddos were little and much to my surprise is still going on now that my kids are 24, 20 and 12. I LOVE IT!! :D

So fun! What a great time you must have had! Our family tradition is one we atarted once the family got too big! We all gather at my parents home on the Saturday before Christmas...this year there will be over 54 people. We have a huge potluck and Santa drops by for a visit with the children (those under 18 get a gift from Santa), then those over 18 have a White Elephant give exchange...This has been a fun way to gather, share a meal, and celebrate the holiday. Thanks for letting me share a family tradition with you. Much love and happiness through the holidays and a prosperous New Year!

My favorite tradition is Christmas Eve. I make us all new jammies, get a new holiday movie, we have a junk food dinner (the kids love this, we get everyones favorite finger foods - pizza rolls, cheese sticks, little smokies, candy coated popcorn). I started making new jammies, not intending it to become a tradition but I overheard my 12 year old son tell someone that it was the best part of Christmas so I guess I will be doing this for a long time :)

Your weekend sounds fun! I JUST (as in minutes ago!) submitted my final essay of the term so I'm on holiday too! Woo hoo! Enjoy your break!

My favourite tradition occurs on Christmas Eve. When I make my gingerbread, I always bake cuts for the children to make their own houses - and on Christmas Eve, the children assemble and decorate them! It's so much fun - and a yummy tradition too!

Holiday crafting! We trade off days learning and sharing a new crafty idea at a friends home, then ours. This weekend, we are making Christmas cards using the Cricut :-) my crafty friend has never used one and I can't wait to get her hooked!

What a fun weekend!

One of my favorite traditions is going up to my grandparents' house for breakfast and gifts on Christmas morning. Now that we have four (soon to be five sometime today) great-grandchildren, it is even more wonderful.

That for the opportunity to win a fabulous cart! Merry Christmas!

Enjoy your "slow down" time! My favorite tradition started 8yrs ago. My family and I cook and deliver hot Christmas meals to the elderly, disabled and in need on Christmas day. We also deliver gifts to the families that are in need. This tradition started because an elderly woman came into the local deli looking for a hot meal. She was told "we do not serve hot meals on the holidays". From that moment on we started to form a plan on how to feed people and 8yrs later we have grown to 250+ meals and 80+ children to buy gifts for. It truly is a blessing to be able to do this for those in need.

Thanks for the chance to win this cartridge. I think it looks really fun to use. My favorite holiday tradition is to have friends and family over for a big cookie baking party. After we have baked and ate, everyone takes goodies home for their families.

We decided to do a Christmas Pickle this year. It is a German tradition. You hide the pickle on Christmas eve and the first child to find it in the morning gets an extra treat. They also said they get an extra blessing, but I can't pray to bless one kid over the other. We cut our pickle out of a green foam sheet using the Cricut and the Bags, Tags, Boxes and more cartridge that came loaded in the Gypsy. It was a tag that was oval but skinnier on one end. Then gave it spots with stickles.

My very favorite Christmas tradition with my family is going to our local Chinese restaurant on the 23rd of December. We have been going to the Chinese Restaurant since I was born, approximately 26 years and counting:) There have been very few years where we have not gone. The staff is like family and they always request that my parents sing a Christmas song before they leave. Now I am married and have incorporated my husband into the tradition and hope to one day pass it down to my children. I know, it sounds like the "Christmas Story" movie, but it's something we have always always done. This is my very favorite Christmas Tradition. Thanks for the chance to win:)

My favorite tradition is the reading of Christ's birth from the Bible on Christmas morning. It use to be my Dad reading it, but now it is my husband since my Dad passed. We gather everyone together on Christmas morning before we open the gifts, and he reads the story of why we are celebrating!

My favorite Christmas tradition is decorating the tree with my daughters. When it is time for the ornaments, I take each one out of the boxes and usually have a special story to go with it. I am sure they have heard the stories about ornaments my grandma made or the ones they made way back in pre-k a dozen times, but they still listen and smile with each story. It may take us a little longer to decorate the tree, but there are no plain ball ornaments... every single thing hanging on the tree has a special meaning. Finally, my husband and my youngest daughter put on the angel topper. In a few short years, she'll be tall enough that she won't need him to lift her to reach the top of the tree, but I am hoping they still keep the tradition of doing it together.

Thanks for the opportunity to win this great cartridge! Our traditions are centered on family mostly--what we eat, games to play, the way we open gifts together (one at a time in order to enjoy each one!). One of my favorite traditions was with my husband's family in southern Ohio where several family family members lived near one another. On Christmas night we would go from house to house to see each other's gifts. It was always a lot of fun!

Unwraping presents Christmas day is our family tradition. We sit in a circle and a designated grandchild is Santa and hands out gifts one by one. We take turns opening them and showing what we got before the next person gets to open one. We traditionally take two to three hours to open gifts. We pause half way through for food and beverages. When the kids were little they used to get so excited waiting for their turn.

Our family has a few fun Christmas traditions. We like to decorate early, sometimes a week or so before Thanksgiving even. I also spend a lot of time making crafts for gifts and decorations. On Christmas Eve we have a big dinner with family at our house, and then we spend Christmas Day with just our immediate family. It makes for a special time of year!

Yay how fun! My favorite tradition is the wonderful Christmas Eve we always have - crazy fun day, late evening church, a wonderfully traditional late night meal then we each can open one gift then bed super late, up early to enjoy Santa!

My favorite tradition has been meeting all my brothers and their families at our step-moms house each year and playing the Chinese Christmas gift exchange game (with tons of laughs). This will be our first year without our dear step-mom and we are beginning a new tradition of meeting at one of my brothers house. Life goes on and we can all look back and smile when we remember our children growing up having Christmas each year with their grammy.

We have a tradition that started the first year we were married and this is our17th Christmas to do it. Every year we pick out an ornament as a couple that is symbolic of something specific that has happened that year, we sharpie a date on it if it is not engraved and we put it on our tree. When our children were born we started adding one each year for each of them and of course our animal babies get one too. It is so much fun to open the box of these when decorating and go through and remember what each one stood for. The kids love it and it brings back so many wonderful memories. We now have enough for a completely separate tree of just these ornaments. We call it our "family" tree. When Our children get older and have families of their own they can choose to take their ornaments and continue the tradition on their own trees or leave it at our house to continue until we no longer can.

I am just getting started with my Cricut and this cartridge reminds me so much of my grandma's knitting. I would love to have it.

We have several traditions. One is the annual tree hunt with all our kids and now their kids and then after we have dinner in an old family-style Italian restaurant. And then there is baking day. I spend a whole day baking all the Christmas cookies and goodies and whoever is available comes to help decorate. We have Christmas music playing and it is always a fun day.

Happy holidays to all!
