Pagoda pizzaz!

Hello, everyone!

I hope you are all having a wonderful week! If you have not had a chance to check out our new blog layout over at Everyday Cricut(formerly Holidays with the Cricut). We are giving away ton and tons of prizes this week over there as well, so make sure you drop by to take a peek.

on to the card....I made this with my very neglected Pagoda cartridge. I love Asian inspired designs, but have not had a chance to really explore what this cartridge has to offer...until now.
I cut the flowers at various sizes and put a glittered brad in the middle to add a little sparkle.

The paper is from the SEI Jocelyn line which is soooo beautiful!! The stamp is from Verve.

Have a wonderful day!!!

Thanks a bunch card using the new Preserves Cricut cartridge

Hello, everyone!

Today I have a card that I made using the new Preserves cartridge from Cricut. This cartridge is seriously cute, but can be made elegant too. This idea was born last Sunday when I was trying to take a nap because I was poorly. All I kept thinking about was a grape card with the sentiment of thanks a bunch. I went through the layout of the card in my head. I sorted out the papers I would use. Then I tried to remember if I owned a sentiment that said 'thanks a bunch'. I had done so much of the planning I could not sleep because I wanted to get out of bed and make this card......so I did.

The paper is Basic Grey's Wisteria(one of my favorite lines of theirs) and the sentiment is from Verve. The 'top note' shape around the sentiment is a SU! stamp that I cut out.

Have a great weekend!!

This peacock was cut at 4 1/4".

The paper I used is a new My Mind's Eye stack I bought at Michael's. the stamp is from verve.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget about my big blog hop give-away! Make sure you sign up as a follower if you are not already and leave a comment on the Hello Thursday post telling me which new cartridge is your favorite.

Geometric card made using Accent Essencials

Hello, everyone! Happy Sunday! I hope you all are having a great weekend.

Today's card is a birthday card that I made for a female who does not like girlie stuff. I pulled out my accent essentials cartridge and cut the 'top note' cut and a ton of the little four petal flowers. Then I made a pattern with them. I like to do this occasionally with cricut cuts. It is like wallpapering with stamps, but better.

I used my most favorite line of all time Bo Bunny's Double Dot. Love this paper! I also used Verve stamp and SU! ribbon(you can order that from my bestie Mandy Ferg!)

Have a great rest of your weekend!

Serenade tree birthday card

Hello, everyone!

I know it looks like all I am making lately is birthday cards, but my MIL was recently in town from England. When she comes to visit she always places a sizable card order with me for all of her friends and family in the UK. This time her order was larger than usual to the tune of 11 cards! The good thing is she pays me AND they serve double duty as posts on my blog. So, everybody wins ;-)

This card was made using Pink Paisley paper and the Serenade cricut cartridge(one of my most favorite cricut cartridge of all time!). The sentiment is Verve.

Have a wonderful week!

New Verve stamps

I just love these new hot air balloon stamps!!! They were a must have for me. They just evoke happy thoughts!

So, I bought a bunch of Copic markers and am trying to get the hang of them. I am a long way off from being any good at it yet ;) I am taking some classes though, so hopefully that will help.

I used my new markers on the hot air balloon images. I was told in class to practice practice practice. Which means you are the unlucky ones who get to see all the practice cards I make with them.

I hope everyone's week is going well......

Simply Fabulous!

I made this card on Saturday for my hairdresser. I think he did a really good job on my hair this last time. So, I thought I would make him a card with a sentiment I recently got from Verve.

I really hope he thinks this card is half as fabulous as he is.

I used PTI patterned paper and CTMH cardstock. The stamp is VERVE. The ribbon is Anna Griffin and the bling is Doodlebug. Inks are CTMH and SU.

Easter card mania!

As I have said before I have relatives in the UK(in-laws). Easter is a huge deal in England. I think more so than here. So, I am making cards for them.

I got these really fabulous stamps from Verve yesterday and they really help you to make nice cards!

I used the water coloring technique on these and I think it turned out nicely. That technique has become one of my favorites for sure!!

I made the purple one first and was impressed with myself. That does not usually happen. So I made a pink and chocolate version too. I usually do not make 2 of the same cards. I just liked the layout so much.

Happy Easter

I have a ton of Easter cards to make for family in the UK. So I thought I would make one today.

I had ordered some Verve stamps this morning and it reminded me of the really cute bunny stamp I bought from them months ago. So, I had to use it today.

Also, I used another cut from my CRICUT Home Decor cart. Isn't that frame adorable!! They need to make nesties in that shape!!

All paper, ink, and ribbon is stamping up. The stamps are CTMH and Verve.

Kristina Werner's color inspiration

Ok, I have only done this once before. I thought I would do it today for fun. I used SU paper, but CTMH ink. As for stamps I used a combination of Verve and CTMH. That wonderful ribbon is SU. Oh and I used my pazzle for the frame and the ribbon slide. TFL!!
