Christmas Tree card

Christmas Tree card
Hello, friends!

Today, I have a card that I made using the stamp set from the Winter Pines Cardmaking kit.

For the focal point of this card, I paper pieced the Christmas tree. Paper piecing is easy. It just takes some patience. For those of you who are not great at coloring with markers, this is for you. Simply stamp the image on white cardstock, then stamp the same image on various colors of paper. I used fern, canary, and chocolate cardstock for this project. Then, cut out the images and adhere to the white cardstock you initially stamped. VOILA!

I really like your card, Melanie.....just loved the background and how you placed the tree and presents. Just wondering if you could give more detail on how you stamped on different papers to piece together elements. I've looked and looked at that tree and it sure doesn't look like it's pieced (shows your expertise!)....so what color did you use as a base...the outline? and then pieced the green tree (or the opposite using green as the base?)and then brown for trunk...it looks like the presents were perhaps also pieced...what was the base on the presents?

I stamped everything in black on white (my base), topiary, canary, and chocolate. When piecing, you cut out only what you need. So, I cut only the star that was stamped canary, only the trunk that was stamped on chocolate, and only the main part of the tree which was stamped on topiary. Then, I adhered the pieces onto the white base.

The presents are embellishments from the White Pines compliments. They are not paper pieced.
