Cricut Artistry Rainbow butterfly card

Cricut Artistry Rainbow butterfly card
Hello, my sweet friends!

Today, I have a project for you that includes a few of my favorite things, rainbows and butterflies! Seriously, if this card had unicorns and flowers on it too, I would likely lose my mind! I am not kidding, you guys! Those things make me really happy. When I was really sick with my chemo treatments and I thought I might die, I told my mom and siblings that I wanted a coffin that has rainbows and unicorns on it. Grim, I know, but I really love bright and cheerful things!

For this card, I used the Cricut Artistry cartridge and the stamp of the month again. I thought that it would be super cool if the rainbow was cut in a way that makes it look like the butterfly trail. I made the file with the rainbow already sliced and ready to go. If you make it with out the Explore, you will have to trim the rainbow once assembled with scissors.

The sentiment was stamp using the stamp of the month and some sponge daubers. I put the stamp on the block and then inked it used the daubers. I love how it turned out!

Melanie, I, too, love bright and colorful....love pastel colors as they are so cheerful. How creative and smart to use daubers to ink the stamp different colors...I never thought of doing that, but goes perfectly with your rainbow. I learn every day from your posts. Thanks so Much!!!

I love how you made this card, using a rainbow as the butterfly's "tail". I also like how you stamped the sentiment...never thought of using diabetes to apply ink; I've always just used markers. But most of all, I'm so glad you made it through chemo and are, hopefully, feeling so much better.

Haha, that should be daubers!!

Well, guess what? I ordered the Artistry cartridge from you. After looking at the images I like the layer look and the Aug stamp set so it won me over. Also, I won on radio station KLUV 98.7 today a prize pack that included pens & a Visa $100 gift card. Yeah!
