Cricut Artistry Octopus card

Cricut Artistry Octopus card
Quick and Easy card Monday

Hello, friends!

Here is my first project made using the NEW Artistry cartridge! I just love this little guy. He looks like a very friendly cephalopod indeed!

Don't forget that I have a special if you buy the bundle this month! There will not be a triple stamp set special like there has been in previous years. :-(

This card was made for this week's Bitten By the Bug challenge. The challenge called for a project that had something to do with the sea. Well, I thought this octopus would be perfect as him home is in the sea. Since he has so many arms, I thought he should hold the sign with the sentiment. I mean why not? It is not like he is doing anything else. ;-)

I made the water by taking a rectangle and the mustache border and slicing off the top of the square. It worked perfectly! For the sand, I welded 3 circles together and trimmed them down to fit in the square. The sign that this octopus is so generously holding for me, was made by using a word bubble and a rectangle. I welded them together and voila! Then I sliced the sentiment into the sign. The font is from this cartridge. I will have a video about the font soon!

If you have a Cricut Explore, here is the file for this fun card ==> Cricut Artistry Octopus card

If you do not have an Explore, but you bought the WONDERFUL Artistry cartridge from me, here are the sizes:

Octopus - 3"
'hi' - 1"
octopus's mouth is a half circle.

Great Card, Melanie. I used this same guy on my project, but had to go with my Whale card when I saw that you too had used the Octopus. No worries as I had made two at once! Love the card, but then I love all of your work!!
Hugs,
Susan
