Hello, friends!
Today, I have a card made using the Summer Love and Artiste cartridges. Also, I used the writing tool on the Cricut Explore for my sentiment.
As I have said before, I am really crazy about flamingos at the moment. I even recently got a flamingo handbag and flamingo shoes. Not only that I made flamingos the theme on this year's team shirts for convention! Seriously, what is not to like about a pink bird?
For the sentiment, I used a free font I found online. It is called Eyes Wide Open and can be downloaded by going here. I used the gray pen and then colored it in with a white gel pen.
If you need a reminder on how write on projects using the Cricut Explore, check out this video I made ==>

If you have a Cricut Explore here is the file: Cricut Three Flamingos Card
If you are sans Cricut Explore, I cut the card out at 8 1/2" (from Summer Love) and the bow out at 1/2" (from Artiste)

Oh My What a super cute card. Your flamingos are so cute and great sentiment to go with.
You really did an outstanding creative job. YOU so ROCK!!
Love those Flamingos and also love how you utilized the washi tape on the inside of your card!!!
Hi Melanie, I love your card and I love Flamingo's as well. I also love how you colored in your font with the white gel pen, I would never have thought of that, thank you!
stand tall.. I'm still cracking up.. very punny! thekimmiefiles at gmail dot com
Love the flamingos! I also like how you filled in the letters. I've gotten frustrated using the pens with my Cricut because my fonts are just outlines...obviously, I never thought of filling in the letters, duh!
Great card! BTW did you know the guy who invented the pink flamingo lawn decoration passed away recently? http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/24/business/don-featherstone-inventor-of-the-pink-flamingo-in-plastic-dies-at-79.html?_r=2
