Hello, friends!
I hope you are all having a great week! I have been beavering away in my craft room getting all of my July crafts made. The Close To My Heart convention is next month and I want ave it all done before I go. If I can get it done, I will have most of August done too! If you have any requests send them in. I am running out of ideas :-(
Today, I have a Texas themed bag that I made using my fabulous Explore and some handy iron on vinyl. State items are everywhere at the moment and as a proud Texan, I wanted to make myself a bag. Texans get a bad rap for our state pride, but I know that there are lots of crafters from other states making similar things. So, this time it is not just another Texas gal being obnoxious! At least that is what I am going with this time.
To make this project, I used the 50 States and Cricut Font cartridges. Also, I used a free font called Lauren's Script for the cursive portion. Click here to get that font ==> Lauren's Script
The bag was purchased from Hobby Lobby. It is made of burlap and that material can be tricky when doing iron on vinyl. Just go slow with it.
Something to note: When you make thee iron on items, be sure to mirror the image.
If you have a Cricut Explore, here is the file: Cricut Texas Bag

Whatcha think about the idea?????
Have a super day!! YOU ROCK!!
What a cute accessory! It will be great for traveling to your convention next month.
I look at these cute projects with the vinyl ironed on fabric and haven't been brave enough to try it out yet. But I am thinking of lots of ways this could be put to good use. Thanks for the inspiration! :)
Wonderful use of vinyl. I have begun to get more & more fmiliar with my Cricut Explore. I have not tried vinyl yet which I have some of so I need to get to doing that. I moved to TX from FL and like it here despite the crazy weather & everything else that has been in the nes media of late about TX. For ideas how about showing us how to assemble some of the cards in the CTMH Artfully Sent. I'm not sure I understand the booklet assembling directions which sometimes tend to leave things out.

"Sunshine HoneyBee"
I agree with Sunshine HoneyBee....perhaps a Father's Day card from the cart "Artfully Sent"....I use the all the CTMH cartridges alot, but not the Artfully Sent ...for some reason I'm just having trouble using it when I come to making a card.
Love your tote bag....you make some cute items with the States Cart...this is another one!!!
