When I first saw the Taste of Summer stamp set, I thought how cute it would be to incorporate that fruit into a popcicle themed card. I had not remembered at this point that there is a stamp set that is included in the Blossom card kit that has popcicles. When I actually realized that I had that stamp set it was a total lightbulb moment. At that point, the card practically designed itself!
Everything was going great until I realized I did not already have a sentiment that said you're sweet. How did I let this card get this far and I was stuck with out a sentiment? Then, I had another light bulb moment! Two in one day, that has to be a record. I remembered that if I don't have a sentiment that I need, I will just make it myself using a font stamp set. It worked out perfectly! Huge sentiments are really trendy right now too, so that worked out! I really need to do this more. By the way, the stamp set I used for this is whimsical, so it was super forgiving when it came to keeping the letters perfectly straight.
Before I show you all the pictures, I want to tell you all one more thing about this card. The pink strip across the top of the card, is from a border that is on the bottom of the patterned paper. I really loved utilizing every square inch of the paper! This is another thing I should do more often!

Sweet & Yummy indeed. What cartridge & size did you use for the Popsicles? I bought some Nestle Popsicles last wk at Kroger. I've been wondering thru the Cricut subscription projects. Made the Sail Away Card but did not know how to assemble the 2 top sails so I just used 1 sail. Wish the instructions were complete/detailed. Also wish there was a way to comment on the project and contact the designer.

Great card and love the popsickles... can be used so many cute ways like you have done. I, too, don't utilize my alpha stamps to make sentiments enough. Thanks for sharing.
Your card makes me think summer and BBQ's!!! And what's not to love about that? I too, don't utilize my alpha stamps when in need of the perfect sentiment. Thanks for the reminder that I've got them ;) Thanks for sharing your project and light bulb moments ;)

What a sweet card! :) I like the dimension with the popped up fruits and Popsicles. Very yummy!
I like using those little strips of pretty patterned paper from the bottom of pretty sheets. So many places they have come in handy.
Thanks for sharing your lovely work! :)
