Artiste Celebration card

Today's Bitten By the Bug challenge, calls for a patriotic project for President's Day. Well, this time of the year, the thought of making patriotic stuff could not be further from my creative brain. Instead, I thought I would make something red, white, and blue. That counts, right?

I made this card using the Artiste cartridge. I was going for a county fair ribbon kind of look. I cut one of the banners in half to look like a ribbon hanging down. It was one of those last minute kind of epiphanies. That little trick is definitely something I will try to remember for the future!

I stamped the inside with the Shooting Star stamp set. Then I colored it in with markers.

What a great card, and the red and white gingham is soooo country fairish, makes me want to have a picnic today (we'll be in the high 50's today). Love the idea of cutting a banner in half to make the ribbon. Enjoy "Exploring", I'm betting your getting lost in your craft room. ;) thanks for the opportunity to win a great looking give away.

Your card definately looks Country Fair. Cutting the banner in half for the ribbon is a great idea and it gives movement to it. Thanks for the opportunity to win the cartridge. I have a lot of men in my family and the fishing fly is perfect for all sorts of cards for them. They love to fly fish!

Looks patriotic too me! I Love the blue epoxy bubbles you used!We are getting blasted with more snow! Another winter storm its been so cold that water lines are freezing to home, over 80 with out water! The city is asking home owners to turn your water on & let it stay on too keep your water line from freezing!
