Artbooking Stencil Card

Today I have a project for the Bitten By the Bug 2 blog. This week's challenge called for a project made using a stencil. There are lots of things you can do with stencils that you make using your Cricut machine. I decided to make an all over pattern on my cardstock.

Now you can do this anyway you really want to. I decided to do a gradient pattern using inks and sponge daubers. It is super simple and super easy to do!

I made the stencil using one of the overlay cuts from Artbooking. Make sure you make the overlay larger than the card base, otherwise your stencil will not cover the surface area. Then I simply put the stencil over the card base and used sponge daubers to fill in the negative space. I did a rainbow gradient, but an ombre look would look fabulous as well!

The stamp set I used is called Hello Wonderful. I used the same sponge daubers I used on the stencil for the sentiment. The circular damask portion was cut out with the cartridge and the stamped with versa mark. Then I heat embossed it using black embossing powder.
