Today I have another card that I made using the CM This and That cartridge. This one is not as dimensionally layered as usually do, but it is VERY layered. Basically, it is super envelope friendly! I really love using the new Cricut Craft room because I love sitting in front of the tv and designing my projects. The best part is getting the layers just right before I cut. None, of these cuts from this cartridge were necessarily meant to be layered like this, but I think it turned out pretty cool. I would never had thought to make something like this with out the CCR. There would have been far too many wasted cuts doing the trial and error method!
Here is the cut file for the CCR: http://www.box.com/s/sn0hts533uzuxjiax93y
Here is the cut file for the GYPSY: http://www.box.com/s/kgoz986jsueit7j8usax
I used a border punch for the scalloped section, but you could make a similar border with scalloped borders found on cricut cartridges. |
I added a little bit of sparkle using Glitz glitter gel from Close To My Heart. |

Wow...great card...I'm still a bit perplexed how it all comes together but between you and Joy .... I'm sure once I get into CCR (first of the year) I'll be surprised at my results...so thank you for this my friends.
This is a really neat card. Maybe things will slow down (ha) after the first of the year so I can get into CCR, yeah right? Merry Christmas!!

Oooooo so pretty! I really like the color combo. Can't wait for the new year when I start using CCR.(I'm just waiting for all the Christmas craziness to get over before I begin something else new.) :D Thanks, as always for sharing great ideas. :D
This is stunning- I just so appreciate you! What a gorgeous card! I am getting an Imagine for Christmas and plan to sit down and play with it and CCR. Thanks for all the inspiring you do- I think I am a better crafter because of you!
Thank you so much for sharing...awesome card!
This is the cart I want to get next . . . just got my new Imagine up and running. Spent a large part of yesterday making cards w/Snow Angel. Finally got to use some of the Cuttle Bug folders I bought last year. Great fun in an otherwise somewhat stressful week.
Pretty card and I love the colors. Have used CCR and think the more I play in it the more I will like it. Love the welding over the design studio welding. Could never get it to weld in design studio. Now I just have to figure out the measurements in CCR. Don't come out right for me.
I really like all the layers on this card. Great job!
Sweet. I am in love with CCR. It is so much easier than DS which I also have. I altered purchased photo albums (the kind with lots of 4 x 6 pockets) making title toppers and cutting frames to fit the pockets for family and a coworker using CCR. Tell those wanting to wait they need to get on the bandwagon. It is so much fun.
Really cute card! Love the color combination too. Thank you so much for sharing and hope you have a wonderful Christmas! lindagk23ataoldotcom

This is really cute. Love the color choices. Smooches... Felicia
I've been using CCR since Feburary... And enjoy using it with my Imagine... It helps out a lot with sizing for the Imagine! Your card looks wonderful... I LOVE all the circles and scallops.... :o)

Nice card!!
Could you do a short lesson on how to use the CCR and Gypsy cut files that you've posted? Do I just download them to my computer, then hook my computer to the Gypsy to use those ones? Thanks!

Beautiful card, Melanie. I think CCR is a great tool. I use CCR to preview cartridges, and the search feature is wonderful! Anyone hesitant to dive in really should watch Joy's CCR tutorials. :)
Happy Holidays!

I love it when I can download a file. I always have a bit of trouble remembering how to get it to the CCR.
Thank you
