Hello, friends!
Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you are all having a day filled with chocolate and flowers! I know I would be having chocolate myself if I could just eat the one or two! I can't, so I am going to refrain all together :-(
Today's project was designed by me out of desperation. I wanted to made a lollipop holder instead of a regular card, so this creation was born. It is super simple to create and will be tons of fun to give away!
I used the
Accent Essentials cartridge to make the rounded squares and scalloped squares. The main piece is cut at 3" x 6 1/4" and scored at 3" and then again at 3 1/4". I then punch a hole in between the two score marks for the lollipop handle. I used a SU! slotted punch to make a hole to affix the ribbon at the top. That's pretty much it!
|
I used We Are Memory Keepers paper. |
|
I used Papertrey Ink(dotted square), Hero Arts(Happy Valentine's Day), Close To My Heart(heart) stamps. |
|
I cut the scalloped square out at 2 3/4" and the rounded corner square out at 2 1/2" |
|
The ribbon used is from SU! |
|
The 'Ethan' stamp is from SU! It is a custom stamp that I ordered a while back just for this very reason. |
|
One very important tip is to use a glue dot to keep the lollipop in the container. Otherwise it likes to fall out. |
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope my son's 1st grade class likes these! I had a ton of fun making them!
Have a MAGICAL Monday!

Happy Valentine's Day!! Those are adorable - I'm sure his class will love them! And great idea on the stamp, my sister was just asking yesterday about having a stamp made for her family to "sign" cards - with 3 kids now, she's decided its too much work to write them all out! ;-)
Refrain from having chocolate?! You are a strong person. Thanks for the very cute & simple Valentine favor idea. I'm bookmarking this one for use next year & for other occasions.
My daughters have done something similar and the children all love them! Thanks for sharing.

Melanie, These are adorable! How lucky your son's class is to have you as one of their classmates' Mom. You must inspire all the other "Moms" in the class. -nu2scrap-
What a cute and simple idea...love it! I'm with you on the chocolate. I can't stop at one or two either. :(
ADORABLE Melanie! I chose to make the cute boxes from the Spring Holiday Cartridge for my second grader... He chose the Skull saying for the boys and the ladybug for the girls... they came out so cute and all the kids LOVED them! Valentine's day can be so much fun with little kids... :o)
