Cricut Masculine Card

Hello, friends!

Today, I have a card that I made for the Bitten By the Big blog. This week's theme is a masculine card. I remembered how fun the Dude! cartridge is to work with and chose it. This cartridge is a really old one, but it has some great masculine cuts.

For this card, I used the Enjoy the Ride stamp set from Close To My Heart. It just goes so perfectly with the cut! When you look at the stamp set you would never think that it would be one that you would use for a masculine type of card. Sometimes things just works out!

If you have a Cricut Explore, here is the file: Cricut Masculine Card

If you do not have an Explore, I cut the motorcyclist out at 3 1/2".

All About Stamps Thursday

Hello, friends!

It is still not too late to get my Seaside scrapbooking kit for FREE with any $75 purchase. I have a few kits left, so get them while you can!

Today, I have a Father's Day card that I made using a really fun stamp set called The Best Dad Ever.

This stamp set is just perfect for masking. This stamp is cute, but it is definitely brought to the next level by masking. I will do an entire video series on stamping  before too long. There will definitely be a video on masking like a pro!

I did not use the masking technique with this card. Instead, I stamp the stamp three different times in three different ink colors. Then, I cut out the hat, bow tie, and mustache with scissors. Next, I popped them up with dimensional adhesive.

Cricut Artiste Typewriter Birthday card

Cricut Artiste Typewriter Birthday card

Hello, friends!

Today, I have a card made using the Artiste cartridge and the April stamp of the month

This card was actually made for my son since he just turned eleven. I knew I wanted to make it masculine, but not vintage. To accomplish this, I thought it would be fun to make the typewriter something other than black. Aqua is my favorite color, so voila!

Both the typewriter and the pointing hand are stamped and them embossed using bright colored embossing powder. Don't have lots of different colors of embossing powder, but love the look you get with embossing? No problem. Simply stamp in any color you like. Then, stamp again directly over the image with Veramark ink. Then sprinkle with clear embossing powder. Heat as usual. It will look shiny, brightly colored, and embossed with out having to house 12 or more different far of embossing powder.

If you have an Explore, here is the file: Cricut Artiste Typewriter Birthday card

If not, I cut the notebook page using the Artiste cartridge at 4".
