Cricut Tulip Thanks card

Hello, friends!

Today, I have a card that I made using the Art Nouveau cartridge. This cartridge has such beautiful things on it including these lovely tulips. My neighbor has some yellow tulips in their yard and I was inspired!

The sentiment is from the A Thousand Thanks stamp set and is heat embossed. This is a really great set. If you send many thank you cards, you need this set in your life!

If you do not have an Explore, I cut the tulips out at 3 3/4".

Happy 4th of July, y'all! I hope you all have a safe and fun holiday!

Today I have a card I made using the Art Nouveau cartridge and the Animal Print cuttlebug folder.  I have noticed that peacocks are all the rage at the moment in home decor. A few weeks ago I saw a model home that was decorated entirely in a peacock theme. You would have thought it would have been tacky, but it was actually really beautiful. Anyway, this got me thinking about making a project using a peacock cut. Besides it finally gave me a chance to use this cuttlebug folder!

I used Gypsy, Indian Corn Blue, Creme Brule, Crystal Blue, and Pear cardstock from Close To My Heart.

I used the A Friend Like You stamp set.

I could not make a peacock card and not use my peacock feather cuttlebug folder!

The doily stamped image is from the Love Doily stamp set.

Have a Nice Day card made using the Art Nouveau cartridge and the May stamp of the month.

Today's Bitten By the Bug 2 challenge has a pay it forward theme. I thought a pretty flower card (no one should be surprised by this :-) ) and a 'have a nice day' sentiment would do the trick!

I have been looking at flowers on Pinterest and came across the most beautiful Iris I have ever seen. It was white, pink, and yellow with the best name ever, Starship Enterprise! You see, besides loving flowers, I love love love Star Trek! I know some people really hate it, but I have been a huge fan since I was a little girl. My dad used to travel for work, so sometimes my mom would let me sleep in her bed. She and I would watch old Star Trek episodes on a small black and white tv. From there a love for the series was born, so imagine my delight to see a beautiful flower adorned with just a fabulous moniker! Let me tell you, I will be planting lots of these in my yard for next spring!

Ok, so I know you want me to get to the point. I thought I would make my iris look like that beautiful iris with the wonderful name! I cut the flower out in white cardstock and then layered the color using mini pigment ink pads. I then added a little sparkle by using Star Dust glitz gel.

For this particular project, I used the Art Nouveau cartridge and the May stamp of the month.

So sorry for the blurry picture. When I realized it was so blurry, it was far too late to retake the photo as it was dark. I used the May stamp of the month and a stamp set called Frame Flair.

Little Fairy necklace made using the Art Nouveau cartridge.

Hello, friends!

Today I have a fun little project for those little girls in your lives. I made this little necklace using the Art Nouveau cartridge. Now will it last forever? No, but your little princesses will love this even if it is just for 5 minutes ;-)

I cut this out at 7 1/2".

I used coredinations paper.

Wild Rose frame made using Art Nouveau and Fancy Frames cartridges.

Hello, friends!

I have something a little out of the box today. I made a few frames using the Fancy Frames cartridge and the Art Nouveau cartridge. Now I know what you are thinking, "Melanie, what would I do with this frame because it is made out of paper?". Yes, it is made out of paper, but it is attached to a cheap frame I bought from a discount store. Therefore, it has good stability. You can also use modge podge to give it some heft. As for what you would do with it, I think this would be great for a wedding/baby  shower with a picture of the guest of honor in the center. If you go the modge podge route it can go on a wall or a table top and last for sometime!

I used Close to My Heart and Coredinations cardstock.

I cut the frame out at 7 3/4"using the Fancy Frames cartridge and the roses out at 6" using the Art Nouveau cartridge.
