Cricut Explore Just A Note card

Hello, friends!

Today, I have a card that I made using SVG files. Now, I have gotten a lot of emails about SVGs. Like, when are you going to do a video on how to upload them, or do I think that Provo Craft is going to start making SVGs instead of cartridges. 

The answer to the first question is soon. I have had it on the agenda, but since I went away to Costa Rica for a week, I am playing catch up. I am happy to do videos on using the Explore (more specifically the Design Space). If there are any specific videos you would like, just let me know, and I can make them. However, I will not be making videos of the Design Space and project assembly. To do this, I would have to splice two videos together. Making videos is a hard job with just one camera, much less two. 

The second question in regards to PC and SVGs is an easy one. Provo Craft is NOT going to do just SVGs and forgo their cartridge cash cow, not now, not ever. They do not make a ton of money on machines. Their bread and butter is cartridges. They are not going away, so you can relax!

One last thing before I get going with my project, this blog is also not going to be an SVG blog. I will on occasion do SVGs as it is a fun way to mix it up, but like PC my bread and butter is Cricut cartridges (more specifically Close To My Heart Cricut cartridges). Again, don't worry! I will be using the Explore, but I have a shelf to put on top of my Explore, so I can still use my Expression. Which ever machine I am using, you can still pull inspiration from what I am making to make great projects of your own. I hope my blog is never short of inspiration for all of you. At the end of the day, I love crafting and sharing those crafts. You can even pull inspiration from me if you do not even own a Cricut. 

Ok, let's talk about this card. It is made from an SVG, like I said previously, but I also used the fabulous pen feature to make the sentiment. Now, this was lots of fun to do because I was never able to get this to look right with the old machine. It is a nice option to have, but I really love stamping. It is good to have options though! This is something I will likely do when I do not have a sentiment that I need. 

By the way, this project is made for this week's Bitten By the Bug challenge. We were asked to make something with music notes on it. 

I used the Ariana paper pack (BTW, this is my favorite paper pack from the new catalog) and the coordinating chipboard compliments.

This is the inside of the card. When this card is sent out to someone, I will add a little bit of Colonial White cardstock and then stamp it. Isn't this paper gorgeous though! It is so Anna Griffin.
