Hello Thursday day 5- card made using Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge

Hello, friends!!

I hope you all had wonderful weekends! I know I did. I swam in my mom's pool on Saturday and mainly relaxed on Sunday! It was wonderful!!

Now here we are on day 5 of the Hello Thursday project release and I am having tons of fun showing you what I have made using these fantastic cartridges. Also, I have more giveaways planned and today I am giving away the Nursery Rhymes cartridge! This is one of my favorites and all you have to do to win this cartridge is leave a comment on this post and make sure you are signed up to get email or follow this blog.

I have read recently on the Cricut Message Board that some people are not happy about the 'signing up as a follower' portion of the giveaway. If you do not want to participate in the giveaway you do not have to. It is completely up to you. Not all of my prizes are provided by a sponsor and I pay for shipping completely out of my pocket. I feel that following my blog to win something is at no cost to you is pretty good deal. Also the odds of winning one of my prizes are fairly high as I do not get as many comments as some other blogs. Either way it is your choice whether or not you want to participate. I hope you do though because the more the merrier!!

On to the card!



It was made using the new and fantastic Mini Monsters cartridge. I cut the little monster out at 2 1/2". The text was cut using the new Wall Decor and More which has a great random font. Which seems to be a culmination of several fonts.



I used Basic Grey paper an Core'dinations cardstock on the card. I also did a little bit of pen work with my white Signo Uniball pen.

    I am a follower as well and I completely agree with you. It's always funny how many people will jump on the bandwagon when it's for their benefit. I'm sure if the post read 'Every follower of mine will receive a cartridge', they would be glad to sign up, wouldn't they? :) YOU do fabulous work and you deserve recognition for it!!! :)

    i am a follower of the blogs that inspire me so that i do not miss a post and i can see everything on my dashboard so a quick perusal every a.m. and p.m. keeps me on top of things!!! this card is so funny and i love the random font. it is refreshing to see the monster cut from a more subtle colour palette! tfs!!!

    I love being a follower because I might forget to check your blog everyday and you always have beautiful projects! I'm glad you did this cut. I saw it in the photos of the front of the box and I thought it was cute! I also did not realize Wall Art had a font (other than all of the phrases I mean)!     Melanie - thank you for everything that you do. I am sorry to hear about the hassles with your give-aways. It seems on our mb there are some individuals that like to complain about everything. Last week it was about the individuals that got selected to do the premiere of the Gypsy updates - now it is you. Please do not let those naysayers get to you!!!     Cute card! I am a follower and subscribe for emails! I have no problem with it, it makes it easier for me to do my blog rounds, otherwise I would forget which blogs I like (there are so many great ones out there for insperation) And I love getting the emails each day - our computers at work don't allow acccess to blogger, but I can still read your posts via email (then comment when I get home) giving me my cricut fix during the work day. Thanks so much for sharing all that you do - truely have inspired me to work hards (and smarter!) on my own layouts and cards.

    Melanie: I can give a great reason for being a follower!! When your hard disk crashes you lose all your "favorites" in your internet browser - if you go to blogger.com you can find all the ones you are a "follower" to rebuild your list - BEEN THERE, DONE THAT!!

    Your work inspires me. I follow you because I get to learn something, not because of the candy. Everytime I am with new scrapping folks I ask them if they follow you and Joy and the Everyday Cricut. If they say no, I tell them they really need to do so!     Oh, how cute! Great to see something with this cartridge that isn't just halloween, I was getting a little stumped as to what else I'd use it for. Such a cute font, too! I love being a follower to get inspiration from all the fantastic things you do.
