Hello, my friends!
Today, I have a card that I made for the Bitten By the Bug blog. We were asked to make a project with a birthday theme. Well, is there anything that is more birthday than a birthday card?
I made this card using the 50 States cartridge. When, I was designing this I had a color scheme in mind, but no clear direction. Since I love flowers like crazy, I went ahead and decided to put flowers on the project. Then, I decided it needed to be a purple flower. At that point I wanted to use lilac. There is only one cartridge out there with lilac (well, until next month), so I chose this cut from 50 States. I love this cut, but would have loved to have more layers. It does the trick though!
If you have a Cricut Explore, here is the file: Cricut Lilac Birthday Card
If you do not, I cut the lilac out at 4" using 50 States and the little aqua banner was cut out from Artistry at 2".

Your card is adorable! I love lilacs and this bright dainty one is lovely. It looks so nice on the fresh, crisp stripes with the dainty little banner.
