Cricut Chalkboard Fonts Project Life School layout

Hello, friends!

Cricut Chalkboard Fonts Project Life School layout
Today I have a Project Life (Picture My Life) layout. This is the first time I have made a pocket layout. It was fun and made me think differently about scrapbooking. However, I still used my Cricut (to make a title card) because I just cannot make a project with out it.

The Cricut cartridge that I used was Chalkboard Fonts. It was the ideal choice since the little cards I used have a chalkboard vibe. I also added a few embellishments to the title.

A few things to note about pocket scrapbooking:

1) It does NOT photograph well because of the glare from the pocket protector. I have seen this done very well on other blogs, but how they do this is beyond me. I took many many photos and this was the best one. Sigh...

2) I would never convert to this kind of scrapbooking as my sole way of scrapbooking. However, if you have a lot of photos to scrapbook, this is the answer! You can get a lot done in a small amount of time.

  8. Very nice, I haven't quite yet decided if I like the pocket scrapbooking, not sure I want to work on such a small size, but you did a good job. I'm almost inspired to give it a try.

  10. What a cute layout! I also like to use my Cricut on everything I make. I've never tried pocket layouts, mostly because I love the process of building as I go without too much advance planning. Thanks for sharing!

  15. I really like something a little simpler for when you don't have a lot of time. Very nice addition to traditional scrapbook layouts!

  16. Your LO is so perfect with your little scholar all set for second grade. He looks so excited to be there.
    I haven't done the pocket style pages but used black cardstock for a background and used the style as a technique. It was fun to do but wouldn't want it to be the only way I scrapped either.
    I did have a ton of those little photos of nieces and nephews and grandkids that are sometimes so small you can lose them so easy. I cut out 4x6 pieces of paper, used up odd trims, stickers and embellies and put the little photos on the pages and then into a photo album. The kids love to see it when they visit, I used up so many scraps and now I will never lose those precious photos.
    Hope you have a great weekend and looking forward to seeing your posts next week. {{{hugs}}}
