    My favorite fall food is homemade vegetable soup. I make mine with V8 as the base (it already has all the other flavors and salt in it). I cook it in the crock pot so it has a long time to meld the flavors together. Frozen veggies and browned beef make it yummy! Oh, thanks for the chance! (Gotta get my crockpot out. . . )

    My grandmother used to make "Haystacks". I don't know if they are a cookie or a candy, but either way they didn't last long enough to talk about it. LOL! They are made with melted butterscotch chips and chinese noodles. Now, if you were asking about CHRISTMAS foods, she made a delicious fruit cake. No, REALLY. It wasn't like the forever fruitcakes they sell at the dollar store.
    Well, I'm ready for some snow this year. We barely got the ground covered last year. That way I'll have photos to scrap with that cute cartridge! THanks!

    Hi Melanie! Without question, no substitute, my favorite food this time of year is cornbread dressing! I make up a pan of this and have it with some turkey or chicken and some gravy, yum yum! It sticks to your ribs and keeps you warm! Happy Thanksgiving!

    Hmmmm ... I guess my favorite fall food item would be caramel apples. For some reason, they just don't taste as good at other times of the year!

    My favorite food is the one everyone likes, green bean casserole, but I add bacon and onions fried up first and then add to my dish. I use chedder french fried onions for the topping. Yun!

Of course there are so many wonderfully delicious foods from now until New Years it is really hard to decide.     My favorite fall food is homemade turkey noodle soup with LOTS of veggies. I make it the day after Thanksgiving with the leftover turkey carcass. It makes a huge pot and there is always enough left over to freeze for a couple of meals in December.

    Squash. And pure squash, no brown sugar added. Then it becomes more like sweet poratoes which I like too, and I prefer them pure, also except for the casserole I make for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

    I think mine is butternut squash or acorn squash. My Mom roasts in the oven with butter and light brown sugar. If there is any left over I add chicken stock, fat free cream, and salt and pepper. Makes a wonderful warm soup. I think I will be making some this weekend. Just thinking about it makes me hungary.
