Rose bag made using the NEW Sophie and Something to Celebrate cartridges

Hello, friends!

Today I have another bag because it's bag week over here at Courtney Lane Designs ;-) This particular bag I made using the Sophie cartridge (this is a Circle Exclusive) and the Something To Celebrate cartridge.

For those of you who are still worried that the Cricut will not cut fabric very well, have a look at the rose below! Can you believe that that was cut with fabric using my Cricut? The key is the starch. You have got to starch your fabric with In an inch of it's life! Then the fabric is so stiff it almost acts like paper.

I cut the rose out at 8" using Sophie.
The leaves were cut at 2 1/2"using Sophie.
The 'D' was cut out using Something to Celebrate at 3".
Thanks so much for stopping by today! See you guys back here tomorrow with yet another bag. Also, don't forget that this week is Hello Thursday and I have some great things to show you as soon as I get the go ahead on Thursday.

Okay, Okay, I'm going to have to try to do a bag with fabric today! I haven't cut fabric in all of the years I've had a Cricut.

nice bag. The rose is beautiful. Would you believe the main reason I purchased the Expression was so I could cut appliques for quilting. Great job.

Great idea on the starch. I have a thing for cute tote bags - I'll need to give this a try!

Hey, I forgot to ask... Did you use an iron-on stabilizer to affix it to the bag? Curious minds want to know.
