Thanking of you card made using Floral Embellished.

Hello, friends!

I hope you all had a nice and relaxing weekend. Mine was not productive, but I really enjoyed it. I even had one thing that turned from being a bad thing to a really good thing. Let me explain...

I am the oldest of 5 children. Three of my siblings are boys and I love them lots, but they drive me a little nuts. I know this is pretty typical, but my brothers are an acquired taste to say the least. So imagine my complete surprise when for Christmas three years ago they got me the best present ever! They usually get me nothing or something kind of ridiculous. However, that Christmas they totally surprised me with Tassimo coffee machine. They pooled their money (and they did not have much) and got me a gift that I did not ask for, but really really wanted. The thought that they put into this gift was something that was completely foreign to me. I use my Tassimo everyday... seriously, everyday!

Anyway, on Sunday it breathed it's last breath and that was it. My favorite Christmas gift ever gone. I was so sad, but then knew that it was going to happen eventually. I called them and thanked them again for this wonderful gift which really meant a lot to me. Then set off to Macy's to replace it. In doing this I actually discovered another machine that would suit me even better than the original. Joy has a Keurig and just loves it, so knowing this I took a leep of faith and bought it. HOLY CANOLI, I love my new coffee maker! It is FABULOUS. It even makes one of my favorite drinks which is half lemonade and half iced tea. So basically, I almost literally turned lemons into lemonade ;-)

Today's card is made using the Florals Embellished cartridge and papers that I printed out using Lori's Garden and my Imagine.
I cut the butterfly out at 4 1/2".
The stamp is from PTI(Papertrey Ink).

Thanks so much for stopping by today and listening to my story! See you guys back here tomorrow!

Have a MAGICAL Monday!

  1. Beautiful card! I guess you need to have a heavy-duty coffee machine to stay up and create all these wonderful creations. Have a cup-o-joe for me today (trying to cut back on caffeine). :)

  30. Great story Melanie! I can totally relate. I have 3 brothers also & I'm just as likely to get nothing for a present because they couldn't think of anything to get. They're just as happy if I buy something myself & send them the bill - lol! So imagine my surprise on my 40th b-day trip to Manhattan when I find myself picking up seomthing from them at Tiffany's. I guess they're keepers after all.

Great card too. Such a pretty butterfly.
