I hope you all had a great weekend! It is already so very hot here in Dallas. At one point my car said it was 98 degrees. Apparently, summer is here. sigh...Have I ever mentioned how much I hate summertime in Texas? Not fun...not fun at all!
Today's card is made using the Elegant Edges cartridge. I was sitting in my room looking at my cartridges needing to make something, but had no idea what I was going to make. Then I remembered how great Elegant Edges is and rather quickly got a plan together. I love it when that happens!
The paper is from Echo Park.
The stacked shapes are Spellbinders dies that I cut out using my cuttlebug. The I cut this butterfly out at 3/4" using the Elegant Edges cartridges.
The stamp is from Papertrey Ink.
Have a MAGICAL Monday!
Lovely card! I really do love it when it a card just comes together. I relate to Texas summers, I grew up in Florida and people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I answered, "cold".
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! TFS!

Beautiful card. Love the colors.
ReplyDeleteI live in Texas too but enjoy the heat. I'm originally from Canada where it was always cool except for maybe six weeks in the summer and even then it wasn't hot like here. When it gets too hot I think about having to shovel snow...makes the heat not so bad. lol Have a great day.
Lovely card. I is wonderful when things just flow and come together for a card! ~Gin~

ReplyDeleteBee-utiful card. Especially like the butterfly. I would like to know what Spellbinders dies you specifically used for the stacked layering. I have some but do not have those. I'm working on a Father's Day card for my hubby using Handyman Cricut Lite cartridge and asked my hubby for some actual 1 1/2" nails to use. He wantedt o know why I needed the nails but of course I could not tell him. After last night's storm it is suppose to be in the 80s by this afternoon here in Central TX

Many of the ones I have bought have been because of seeing projects you have posted using them. I love getting these e-mails and have tried using a number of the card ideas using yours as guides. I would love to win that goody box. The 2 cartridges are both ones I don't have. One can always hope. Lynda

ReplyDeleteIt was 95' at 5 pm yesterday in the Charlotte, NC area. Today it is suppose to get hotter. Ugh! I have so liked the 70's or even the 80's. I don't like the very cold (grew up in MN) or the very hot (lived 10 years in FL.). I wish there was a happy medium all year round.
