A few of you requested pictures of my new Cuttlebug storage and I was planning on showing some of it to you this week. However, since you guys asked I decided to show you the whole thing!
I have been on a craft room cleaning mission lately. My cuttlebug storage has bugged me for a long time now, so I needed to come up with something better. I bought some jet max cubes and noticed that the drawers would be perfect for storing both the folders and the plates.
To decorate the outside of my drawers I used my Imagine, printable vinyl, Lori's Garden Imagine cartridge, Cricut Everyday cricut cartridge(this cartridge is a Cricut circle exclusive), and the Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Art cartridge(for the font).
Both cuttlebugs were cut using the Cricut Everyday cartridge. I cut the font using the Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake Art.
I like the color palate that come with the Lori's Garden cartridge, so I chose it to color in the wording and pieces for the cuttlebug.
This is just layered printable vinyl. It was super easy to do!
Then by using the From My Kitchen cartridge and my Imagine I made the dividers out of the recipe cards on the cartridge. Then I used my Your Story to laminate it. This will make it last a lot longer and makes it much more substancial.
This green print is from the Lori's Garden Imagine cartridge. I just love it!
Ok, that is it! Not a very hard thing to do, but just a little time consuming. These drawers are the perfect size for my folders though. I am so glad they were on sale a few weeks ago at Michael's!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! See you all back here tomorrow!!
Have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
Nice solution! Gotta love "the cubes"!
ReplyDeleteWay 2 Mel!!! Great idea!! It is so much fun 2 organize and come up with innovative ideas for the craft room!

ReplyDeleteLove the decorations on your storage. Very cute! Organizing Rules!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea!! Now, if only I had my own room -- LOL!
ReplyDeleteVery nice idea! I will keep it in mind, if I get tired of storing the folders in three ring binders.
ReplyDeleteOoh, great storage idea and I love the recipe card dividers! TFS
ReplyDeleteWOW! Nice organization. I always have trouble with my folders and plates. Wish I had your collection!
ReplyDeleteSOOO jealous, I need more space in my craft room. I suggested to my children that mommy could use their playroom as my craft room, but they shot me down:(
ReplyDeleteWow, this is a fabulous idea! I love that you can use your Cricut for projects like this.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas, inspiring me to some avoided spring cleaning...
ReplyDeleteI love this!! You should show more ideas like this. I have a small craft room so I am always looking for ways to store everything neatly so I can but more!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! And how perfect that the drawers are just the right size! I love your cuts on the front of the drawers, too.
ReplyDeleteGreat storage solution!!! My Cuttlebug supplies have been buggin' me for awhile now too & I need to get them organized. I tried the little blue folder but it's kind of a pain to access, etc & I swear that's why I don't use them very often.
ReplyDeleteOOPS!!!! I wanted to ask if you have any idea how many folders your cube will hold? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I have got to get that kitchen cart!
ReplyDeleteAwesome idea. I absolutely LOVE it. It is SO nice to have things neat and organized. Then they are easy to find when you need them. Hugs- Glora
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic!!! I don't have as many as you, but I have been looking for a storage solution for cuttlebug folders. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Love your collection of folders! Great storage solution, wish I had that many to use your idea . . . but I might need it for my clear stamp collection that seems to be growing daily!
ReplyDeleteSeems like you can never have enough storage space! My husband got me a Workbox for Christmas, and I'm already running out of room for all the stuff I've bought over the last few months. I think I need to reorganize everything I put in it to make better use of the space. I love your idea for storing your CB folders/plates! Mine are just in a plastic crate, and I have to sort through the whole thing to find what I want.
ReplyDeleteLooks great. I love it when my tools are organized.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea and it's pretty too!!
ReplyDeleteNow I want that, too! Great idea. Could you possibly share a photo of the whole unit? I can't quite see what is under the drawers. It looks like one whole unit.
ReplyDeleteAwesome Idea!
ReplyDeleteTo be so organized.... I'm jealous! :) Thanks for letting me dream...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea Melanie! I don't own any jetmax... Maybe once I expand this room I might get some.... but I really like the drawer idea and the seperation of them.... right now most of mine are stored in a 3 ring binder.... in pockets I can get 4 on each side... That has worked so far... but I got a bunch more now that don't fit so maybe I need to get another 3 ring binder or come up with a different solution! :o)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous idea for your cuttlebug tools! TFS
ReplyDeleteAwesome organization! I really need to do something like this. My scrapbook stuff got put in the dining room and it's a mess! LOL.
ReplyDeleteFantastic idea! I love how you label everything. Wnderful!
ReplyDeleteLove what you did! I need to do that for my clear plastic drawers that house my bling, inks, stamps, etc.

ReplyDeleteYour Locker layout is adorable. And the answer to why you're behind with your son's book is ~ you're a mom and as moms we are ALWAYS behind in something LOL - imagine how far behind you'd be without the Cricut - GO CRICUT!!!
