I appreciate you so much card made using the Cricut Martha Stewart All Occasions cartridge.

Hello, everyone!!

Thanks so much for the sweet words about my grade! You guys are the best!! I have gotten a few questions about what I am going to school for and how much longer do I have. I am going to school to be a graphic designer. It is something that I have wanted to do for sometime and when my little one started kindergarten I finally had the time to do it. I am only in my second year, so I have a few more to go. Going back to school as an older more responsible adult is definitely the way to go though! My grades are so much better this time around and I actually show up to class which is a huge improvement. I think my problem with the first time around was a poor choice in majors. I was pre-med those long 15 years ago and it just wasn't for me. Art is more my thing....well, art and history! I also would love to be a history teacher!! So, if any of you are history teachers I am so jealous!! I HEART history!!

Anyway, I have a card today that I have been wanting to make for a few weeks, but kept forgetting to every time I sat down to craft. I finally remembered, so here it is. Oh and I made it using the Martha Stewart All Occasions Cricut cartridge.

The wreath is cut at 4".

The stamp is from Papertrey Ink.
The paper is from SU!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! See you back here tomorrow!

Have a totally awesome Thursday!!

Great card. It's like that yellow paper was designed for the wreath shape! Congrats on decided to go back to school. I know how hard it is to do with all the responsibilities of being an adult with a family. I went back as an adult to finish my education degree while working and raising my children, but boy was it satisfying!

Love the "show up to class". I think there is a lot to be said for working before you go to college lol.

This card is stunning! Love the choice of papers and you might have heard I love PTI :D. I love the cake carts for paper crafting, and BTW I'm blaming you and Joy for that lol. Most hoped for rewards cart for me is the Cake Basics lol.

Keep up the good work in school! Funny how we take things more seriously as we "age"...not that we are old, by any means!
Love your card...good colors!

it is better second time around! so many of my friends are back in school it doesn't feel unusual. and you know yourself better after a little more 'living' to know how you would want to spend your time and talents

Simply BEAUTIFUL Melanie! I Love the colors and the added ribbon... just soooo pretty! And it's smart to wait (I Think) because you are a bit more mature and a lot more ready for school than when you go right after H.S..... Most kids today don't take it seriously enough and I think if they were a little more mature they would.... and of course having a family can motivate anyone to go back to school for a better future! :o) You know I wish you the best! :o)

Melanie you story hit home with me because of my nieces. All four went to collage straight out of high school, none finished.
Three have gone back and one has finish. The other two are still going.
One of my nieces said " I would never want my Mom to here me say this but I wish I would have listen to my Mom while she was paying for collage"

Oh...Great card.

Melanie,
Love this wreath. About school, you are so right. I did the same thing. When my kids were todlers I went back to college and was so much more focused, grades I achieved amazed even me considering I worked full time, went to school at night and was raising two kids. You just find you do what you have to do. For me, it really did pay off and it will for you also. Best of luck at reaching your goals.
Hugs,
Marcie

Pretty card!

Keep up the good work at school, it is worth every sacrifice you might have to go through to complete the course. I did the same thing when my fifth child was old enough to go to nursery school. I was able to be a scientist for twenty five years and loved it before I retired three years ago.

The wreath is just gorgous. A pretty pretty card. Keep up the good work in class. High school does not prepare you for college. They spoon feed you. College, you have to get it for yourself. They supply the facts and you get it or not.

You will be at graphic design! And this may sound like a strange next comment but...you make wonderful bows! (too weird?)

Love the wreath on this card! Kudos to you for going back to school. I don't think I could do it now, but I know I would appreciate it more! I am currently reading anything I can about American history- an interest I never had until recently. Good luck in your schooling!
